She is so friggin' cute. We danced EXACTLY like this in the 80's to songs like this. I love how happy she looks and the power of that VOICE still! What a brilliant woman.
Shes far more comfortable today too.... perhaps its the weight loss. But thats why Andy Bell became more successful... he sounded EXACTLY like Alison.. but he was a fit and flamboyant performer. Duh he was going to be more appealing. Its a shame Alison is amazing.
What a beautiful mature lady Is now Alison... body movement aesthetics + awesome music, overwhelming rhythm and mesmerizing synths sounds. The 80s are the top of music. Love from Italy
Yes, there are no contenders who come even close to the emotional depth of Moyet’s bluesy and soulful voice. It is heartbreaking that Alison Moyet is almost forgotten by most people around the world and people with a fraction of her talent are praised......i love you girl...always....
I grew up with her voice. Yazoo is one of my all time favorite. I never, ever knew about the person behind that voice until recently. Ohh I am so in love with her dancing. Damn! Allison, shall we drink a coffee or a beer together? I feel like I know you for 40 years but just met you. ❤️
Why would anybody even compare the two? Two completely different singers, genres and eras. It's like comparing Ella Fitzgerald and Stevie Nicks (love both Ella and Stevie, though).
Admirable for many reasons. The arrangement, the construction of this video, Moyet's performance (never mind her "wow!" appearance)...Likes all around!
Because originally the record producers shafted her and tried to turn her into a pop machine. After that she refused to play ball. But hey, she's still here.
That is certainly a mystery. I think people can't - or won't - recognise really good music .Only a chosen few it appears can acknowledge and appreciate greatness when they see and hear it .
I loved her when I was 17 years young (as she was a lovely big girl) and still do after this amazing transformation. . Well done girl... very well done in deed. You look stunning. I send you a BIG HUG XXXXXX XXXX

Interestingly, I just saw a documentary on Yazoo, and they mentioned in the end, how we never got to see where the band would have gone, and how they would have developed onstage. Look at Alison and what a great front person she is here in the new video. There was a shyness before, but now, she is all in, holding nothing back, in terms of dancing and having fun. Wow!!! I hope we get several more albums, and tours from the band. Still, I would love to see them tour with DM.
It's always amazed me that they Depeche mode Alison moyapet didn't do anything together or tour together. I know they knew each other and was friendly because for a short time they all drank in my local. My sister and her boyfriend knew them. I think she had some record company problems, creative control sort of thing. I'm sure she suffered with agoraphobia for a bit too. I think she a fantastic artist who will pop in and out when it suits her and when she totally satisfied with any material.
@3732: Vanity by Depeche Mode, was likely the issue - specifically involving Dave Gahan and Martin Gore. They can be real divas. Worse, Gahan can be horribly passive aggressive - and he carries grudges. That led to Alan Wilder leaving. They told him that he was not a real member of the group - but rather, he was only a paid employee; so he left. He was rewriting and rearranging all of Martin's songs and producing them. The full band was rarely in studio during this process. Instead, they were out partying and dating...as Alan stayed in-studio producing. He rarely got credit. As a result, he asked them for proper credit and pay...and they refused him that. Andy was nothing but a business manager for the group. Andy knew the numbers and contracts. He wasn't even playing live onstage, yet he was getting an equal cut of the profits simply because he was a founding member of the band??? According to reports, after Alan left...Andy would rub it in...via media interviews - taunting Alan. Alan was the only real musician in the group. The rest of them openly admitted it, frequently. As per the original band, Vince Clarke regarded them as baggage. He didn't need them anymore, due to his getting ahold of a sequencer - so he left. Abandoned - Dave, Martin, and Andy felt betrayed. They thought that the band was dead, as Vince was their lead writer. He wrote all of their hits on the 1st album. I believe that they regarded Alison Moyet as a part of said betrayal, at least...in their minds. As per Vince Clark, given Dave's demonstrated diva behaviors...he (Vince) likely wanted out. Vince is a quiet and shy guy, who doesn't like drama. The truth is, Vince's music (absent the band) towered over Depeche Mode. Yazoo blew away Depeche Mode at every level. Depeche Mode didn't manage to turn things around for another 2 albums. The song "Get the Balance Right" was their answer to Vince Clarke - and next, "Everything Counts (in Large Amounts)". Further, they were only able to compete with Clarke with their 4th album - "Some Great Reward". That was the big breakthrough.
@@jaeeproductions wow, I never new that. Thanks for that. I've always wondered if there was something going on between the 2 bands or they just never had the right material.
Me fascina Alison Moyet, Yazoo en los 80s, su particular voz que encanta e imnotiza, su baile que lleva a sentir toda su música , me encanta en su totalidad, la amo 😘😘😘
Absolutely amazing. She looks like she feels energetic, healthy - youthful. I've heard her say that she was upset that people pay so much attention to how she looks. But if you look that good at 50, you can't be that upset about it. Flaunt it if you got it. She just looks so freaking happy and fresh. Sounds awesome too. No other singer like her. She's the real deal, and always live.
How Alison Moyet never became a bigger thing than she was has always baffled me. Incredible voice and stage presence.
Glorious voice!
Maybe she didn't sell her soul like most other people in the entertainment industry.
She’s hot!
She’s big big to me! I loooove her ❤ and her voice and music so unique 🥰
Were you around in the 80’s? She was huge.
That dance alone would’ve been worth the price of admission
I showed her that 😂
Not only does she look and sound fantastic, look how happy she is!
Yes...lov her dance!!!
@@mikalunknownYou're not the only one!!! 💜👏💜👏💜

She has one of the best voices ever
She is so friggin' cute. We danced EXACTLY like this in the 80's to songs like this. I love how happy she looks and the power of that VOICE still! What a brilliant woman.

I listen to this in both versions regularly since 40 years. Still love it.
Damn! Alison sounds great and looks absolutely bangin'!
Wow, she looks great! Better than in her 20's.... And she still sounds great too!
baby fat back then
Shes far more comfortable today too.... perhaps its the weight loss. But thats why Andy Bell became more successful... he sounded EXACTLY like Alison.. but he was a fit and flamboyant performer. Duh he was going to be more appealing. Its a shame Alison is amazing.
Why do people have to go on about her weight loss? Utterly irrelevant to her job, that of being a fantastic vocalist.
amazing how some some women improve with age :) she looks hotter now than she did back in the 80's..
@@vermilliongecko maybe because she is in the spotlight, and she is hotter than before. Why were you triggered over people complimenting her?
What a voice! What elegance! The time has stopped...
Her dancing is too cute 😍
So incredible and lovely . I love her dance moves too much !

Alison Moyet...from 80s to eternity! ❤️
Aging so beautifully & yet still has that dance club spirit!!
Let's face it , Alison and her voice is always first , before Adele or anyone else !
Adele's virtual voicebox agrees...
I'm sure Adele would even agree with that! I'm certain she is one of her inspirations.
Why would anybody even compare the two? Two completely different singers, genres and eras. It's like comparing Ella Fitzgerald and Stevie Nicks (love both Ella and Stevie, though).
This woman deserves her flowers and then some. My god, the world slept on Yazoo and Alison. Gahan is great but Alison has it all and more.

Why isn't Alison a thousand times more popular than Madonna end the likes?
Because she's talented and interesting unlike McDonna.
because she is talented and she did not make a career with her ass.
Because originally the record producers shafted her and tried to turn her into a pop machine. After that she refused to play ball. But hey, she's still here.

Blue eyed dressed for every situation
Moving through the doorway of a nation
Pick me up and shake the doubt
Baby I can’t do without
Move out, don’t mess around
Move out, you bring me down
Move out, how you get about
Don’t make a sound just move out
I remember only for an hour
Move right through me can you feel the power
I don’t know what’s going on
It scares me but it won’t take long
Nations stand against him he’s your brother
Been a long time, been a long time now
I’ll get to you somehow
