I purchased the Soler Performance 2 weeks ago and I finally got the opportunity to install it today (Oct 25, 2024) after watching Rick Conti’s shop mechanic Chuck install the controller. Chucks installation method of hiding the controller behind the carpet then routing the connector cable under the trim was pure genius! After I completed the install no one can even tell it’s there except for the small display discreetly attached to the right of the steering wheel. My first drive with the controller was mind blowing it transforms the C8 into a responsive rocket! I selected Sport 6 then pushed the pedal and the car shot forward and it’s the first time the front end actually lifted up! It was breathtaking. I also tried the throttle lock (anti-theft mode) after selecting the lock feature I stepped on the pedal and nothing happened. No rev no movement. So good! Now when leaving my car parked anywhere whether at the beach, roadtrips, hotel parking lot and yes even the grocery store I will utilize this amazing anti-theft feature. I know it is not supposed to affect the horsepower or speed of the car, but until I put it in, my launches were consistently 2.8 seconds 0-60mph. Last night I was able to launch 0-60 in 2.6 seconds!!! It is insane!!!
Great review! Never was interested in getting a performance throttle body but this device OH BABY! So yes, I sold! Besides giving a greater throttle response the fact it has the best anti-theft (throttle lock out) available the valet mode is worth it too! And TY for the 5% off code 👍👍
@@JoesGarage-c8corvette finished up the install, it’s connected and I can’t believe the response from just revving the throttle. Response is immediate!!! Yet to drive it but I’ve removed the digital display and will use my phone to make adjustments. It’s really amazing to lock it and and stomp the gas pedal and there’s nothing there. 😂🤣
@@JoesGarage-c8corvette OMG!!!!! Definitely have to get use to it. Ludicrous just revving in the garage the exhaust was popping and cracking, nearly blowing items hung up off the walls. I can see how you can get into a little trouble. The lock feature is on point. Push down pedal and nothing. Love it!
Actually it shortens the amount of pedal application in order to reach WOT. Example, depending on which Soler Performance Throttle Controller setting selected just a 25% depress on the pedal gives WOT which truly is a game changer.
Okay Joe, it’s Joe on this end and I managed to get it installed. Took the longest to get the accelerator unplugged. Nonetheless it’s in and that’s all I’ve done. Red to ready for work and I’m not totally happy with the bulk behind the gas pedal. Want it neat and tucked away as best as possible. Any ideas or suggestions? I have the digital just below the start button but plan not to use it, just there for the pairing portion of the install. Once I get that situation cleaned up I’ll finish the work and get out and see what’s what with it.
I tucked all mine under carpet behind the pedal as well as behind center console. My digital module is on the shelf above the start button and hardly noticeable.
Mine will be here on Wednesday and can’t wait. I have the pTR Carbon intake, 95MM throttle body and the LPE exhaust with Attack Blue filter. I’m mainly getting it to stop or slow theft. Would like to know is it automatic when you come and go from the car, unless you lock it? I know I’m personally using it by Bluetooth and will abide the digital display behind the carpet by the accelerator. No one needs to know what I have but me. Thanks for the review and video!
Awesome. It’s great and will pair well with what you have. I don’t know a way to get it to lock on its own, but it is a handy feature. The digital display can be hidden as you plan. Once locked it cannot be unlocked by it, but it can tell them what it is.
Do you think the cord could be used to just charge your phone? If so it’ll be a good dual purpose tool. Trying to find a discreet way to charge without cords everywhere
Yes. I believe that changing the vette settings does nothing to the accelerator, but can affect torque, suspension, gear shift timing, as well as traction / stability control and steering. This device affects the pedal, consistently through all the settings.

Just to confirm, do you have to install the wired transmitter box at all? Finally, can the app be used during CarPlay through the infotainment system instead of pulling out the phone?
You do not need the display and can use your phone. Good question about car play. I just use the Bluetooth / actual phone, but I’ll see if there’s a way to do it via CarPlay.
I’d like to see if I can find someone that could make my high wing to a low wing for better visibility with the top down and placing and removing objects out of the trunk, but it’s a thought, love the Z06 rear wing too!
The Z06 wing looks awesome. My concern would be 2 posts vs 4. It would probably require additional reinforcement to handle the downforce without affecting the rear bumper. And there would be extra holes to fill/cover.

But if it's worth it is what it is. LOL. I just installed the Cross headers and cats and Borla ATAK exhaust. I'm afraid to add that up. LOL.
How does it impact the car’s responsiveness when you change the cars mode selector to sport or track? Seems like it would confuse the computer when combining the two.
No confusion. It works great in all modes. The responsiveness is amazing in all modes. The main difference in the modes is gear timing and shift points, not the pedal. (To my knowledge)

you can do that with a tune that you now need cuz that TB made your AFR leaner...
True. But to tune it is expensive and a PITA. The ECU does adjust for rich/lean mix on its own to a degree.

No need to disconnect the battery for this mod.
Leave door open and remove key from car to de energize the system
