Ultimately, Judas' betrayal of Jesus was in spite of being given every chance to repent and change his mind. The message of the song is that Jesus grants us the same chance to repent and follow Him sincerely. If we choose to follow Him falsely, and betray Him, we will suffer the same eternal fate as Judas, just like you reminded us.
