- Just before the recent Hermès price increase, my husband bought my Christmas present (so technically this is a "What I got for Christmas" video aswell and of course an Hermes unboxing). In this video I do unbox an Hermès item, that I've had on my wishlist. My husband initially didn't think it's the perfect Christmas gift and would have preferred to get me a luxury bag - but I rather wished for something, I would get for myself aswell. So here comes a spoiler: I got a pair of Hermes Oran Slides - but which color?

The Oran Sandals are absolutely gorgeous, absolutely timeless and definitely a classic! 🤩
And regarding buying sandals for Christmas, where I come from, there is an old saying, that the good householder buys in summer the sleigh and in winter the carriage - meaning it‘s always best to be prepared for what can come and not leave it for the last moment. So as you stated yourself, it‘s a double win: they were bought when they are in stock and before the price increase 😅
And now I am angry with myself, because I had a Hermes Item on the wishlist and I almost bought it after Christmas, never thought Hermes would have another price increase so quick after the one last year 🙄
Anyhow… I hope you get a lot of wear out of them, always blister free! ☺️🍀
Unfortunately in Germany we have an old saying, that you should never gift shoes to your partner, cause he/she might run away in them 😂. Luckily hubby didn’t have that old superstition on his mind 💃🏻
I have the same ones and I wear them basicly almost every day during summer time - they are so worth it! 💕

I think these are probably the best thing you could have bought from Hermes as you will get so much wear out of them - so happy that you were able to get something you loved as a Christmas gift 🥰 you will be counting down the days until you can wear them now! I bought these exact ones last summer and they were the BEST investment! I wore them most days and even took them on vacation as my evening/daytime shoes and loved wearing them. Definitely get a rubber sole added to them for more grip/durability. We also wear the same size!! Enjoy! xx

Slides for Christmas are a very thoughtful gift! I mean winter will be over soon (hopefully) and more christmassy (as in winter appropriate) things wouldn´t get use before the next winter.

Its never to late to post a video! Better late then being 80 and saying oh I wish I did that. lol. The card is super cute I love that! You can frame it and keep it with your bags The sandals look so comfy. esp the leather.
The leather still feels quite stiff and hard at the moment 🙈 but I‘ll trust the process and hope they’ll get comfortable quickly 😁

Thank you 🥰 - I bought it a few years ago in Italy, at s store called OVS (guess they are like the Italian version of H&M 😅 - so unfortunately fast fashion, but you can find some well made gems aswell. Absolutely love the sweater 🧡)
very exciting! im curious to hear how they wear in for you! I was looking at that tote bag by Naomi and im wondering how she has access to that many brand new looking authentic dust bags to make these totes. do you have any more information on that? thanks!
I asked her aswell and she answered, that she‘s allways looking out on the preloved market and at different plattforms for sourcing these dustbags. And that condition tends to be very good on dustbags in general, cause they hardly get used (especially the people that want to sell their dustbags, oftentimes are the ones, that do not even store their items in them at all and sell them „unused“).
She does aswell work on comission, so that clients can send in their own dustbags.

@@LuMiLevelUp thanks for that info, yes I was searching around on her page and I did see in the facts section that she has ppl send her dust bags directly. I'm still considering it but I don't know if I can be trusted with a mostly cloth bag like that! Def post an update about the slides in the spring/summer and let us know how they are wearing in!
