uscitizenpod the officer started the interview with a civic test and then a simple reading and writing sentence (who can vote? Citizens can vote). After that, she went over yes or no question and then give me the interview result. I had oath ceremony the same day as well ( I had interview in Portland, Oregon). The officer was very nice and patient 😀
I recomend people to listen to the question and answers everyday, that helped me learn them all, and also ask somebody to ask you them and the questions that are in the form too, dont be nervous, it is really easy, my ceremony was 6 days ago! So happy, wish you all luck!!
uscitizenpod sure Teacher. When the officer called me, he asked me about my passport and permanent resident card. Then we went to his office and he asked me to raise my right hand and swear to tell the truth. After that, we took and sit and first, the officer asked me about my personal information, such as, address, work, trips, and how long it was the last trip. Then he started with the “Have you ever” question. He asked 6 civic Questions: 1. What did the Emancipation Proclamation do? 2. Who is in charge of the executive branch? 3. We elect a US senator for how many years? 4. Who sign bills to become laws? 5. Name two national US holidays? 6. The idea of self-government is in the first three words of the Constitution. What are these words? For reading test the officer asked me to read three sentences. For the writing test, it was the answer of one of the reading sentences. After all of that the officer told me that I passed the test. ☺️ The officer was serious at the beginning, but once they notice that you can speak and communicate with them, they became nicer with you.

Yes, the officer can ask you to define any word. sometimes a person is asked to define 2 or 3 words, but not more than that. Try to study as much as you can before you go to your interview.
