Farmhouse Flavors
here is recipe
Pumpkin Pie
2 Tbsp. flour
½ c. maple syrup
¾ c. whipping cream or top milk
1 c. pumpkin, sweet potatoes or butternut
½ tsp. salt
½ tsp. cinnamon
¼ tsp. cloves
¼ tsp. nutmeg
1 unbaked pie shell
2 eggs
Put all pie ingredients in blender and mix well. Pour in unbaked pie shell. Bake at 400° for 10 minutes. Turn down oven to 350° and bake another 25-30 minutes until mostly set. It's better if it is still slightly soft in the center when you take it out because it will stiffen more as it cools.
If you can believe it, my boys prefer this pie without the crust. This suits me just fine.
It's easier that way.

This is a cool, healthy summertime treat. Its also something you can do with your children. They will feel so proud of the way it turns out. Isabella loves all fruit, so naturally, this is her favorite.
1 long watermelon
2 cups cubed fresh pineapple
2 cups sliced fresh strawberries
2 cups fresh blueberries
2 cups green grapes
2 cups purple grapes
2 cups chopped cantaloupe
2 cups chopped honeydew melon
1. Using a sharp knife, cut a thin slice from the bottom of the watermelon, so it sits flat. Mark a horizontal cutting line 2 inches above the center lengthwise around the watermelon.
2. To make the basket handle, using a sharp knife, score a 1½-inch-wide strip widthwise across the top of melon, connecting both sides to the horizontal line.
3. With a long, sharp knife, cut all the way through the rind above the cutting lines in a zigzag pattern. Carefully lift off the side pieces. Remove fruit from both sections and cut into balls.
Refrigerate the watermelon basket.
4. To arrange, fill the basket with remaining ingredients and watermelon balls just before serving.

I'm not great with the finger dexterity any more at my age and with arthritis etc here's hoping I can pull it off. Did you do yours yourself? What I lack in skill, I have in desire to make it work!
Sounds like a really ridiculous combination. Pumpkin and fruit seems odd, but it meant might be very good.
