A beautiful lady whom I never seen before was singing, as I was watching my mother came in the room and said, ooh Shirley Basset I sure do like her, and that's how came to know this power house of a voice, and entertainer. She still got it.

Saw the one also they did for her in 1993 , This is your Life . Her voice , lung power , glamour , specially now her later years always been a fan . Shirley had been estranged from her adopted grand nephew Mark until the 1990s after he wrote a tell all book about how chaotic life was growing up with Shirley Bassey the entertainer...in the 1990s they reconciled.

My great Aunt Shirley, my great grandmother is her sister, can I please correct your. Sharon has 3 sons not 4. The reason she does not have contact with her siblings is this, just before Samantha (her second daughter died) Samantha reached out to her real family (Us) , she was a lovely girl as my mother recalls. Shirley took Samantha's rebellion as a rebutall, Samantha was looking for love, comfort and support, Shirley brought her children up on drugs, it was an easy way option rather than being a parent. Yes great voice, but parenting skills were horrendous, she has not reunited with Mark, my other great Aunts grandson, Shirley only adopted him, because she wanted a son, and money counts. All her siblings have had great lives, and wonderful family memories.
