we are literally a few months away from the city coming in and replacing out septic tank with city sewer system and out septic tank fails. I'm half way thinking about moving out of the house until then.
Why move? Just spend the few hundred dollars and get the tank pumped. Be sparing on your waste water that goes into the tank and it may well take several months before the tank fills again.
Get Eco tablets, saved me $20 000! You just throw them into the toilet. They are full of bacteria that eat the sludge. Stops the smell coming from septic too.
water backing up into the house can also be a clog right at the inlet. i'd much rather dig up the inlet myself, and make sure it's not clogged, at the same time see how full the tank is before i even start worrying about it being full. of course, if you have stinky backup in the leach field, that tells you everything. someone shoulda been pumping instead of watching game of thrones. i do not envy anyone needing to clean out the leach field pipes. "failure" is such a drastic word. how about, you got a big stinky mess on your hands. rent a porta poddy, and git r done. wear PPE, use colloidal silver to sanitize (might as well get yourself a silver generator while youre at it), and get to digging. if you need to replace the leach field pipes, suck it up and git r done. but why pay someone to haul them off? if you have the space and the resources, turn it into a lesson you'll never forget, and sanitize them yourself. i bet you will never neglect to pump the tank ever again
Tell me where all those damn worms go after they decompose the whole shit tank? Wouldn't they just clog up the draim feild aswell? Their damn sure not going to migrate through the rock in the drain field
The best way to get your septic soakaway going is by using a high pressure water jet, this will break up the solids and open up the pertherations of the pipe, this is my job which I do every day so don't waste your money on these worms !
How much is the cost to purchase a water jet? Where can this be purchased? How & where do you use the pressure water jet? Thanks for any info provided.
Calandra 16 You need to find a reputable drain cleaning company in your area they will jet from the outlet of your tank into the soakaway if possible depending on the type of tank you have
My friend has worms in his buttwhole so when he shits in the toilet it naturally goes into the septic tank and cultivates. He has never had to clean his septic tank or his anus. It's a self contained eco friendly system. Let me know if you need him to send you poop for your septic tank.
Pump every year? No way! Every 5 years. Just had mine done and it was well over 500 dollars. Not only are you supposed to do it every 5 years but that is a pretty heafty expense to try and do every year.
This Video is somewhat misleading. A tank DIES not need pumping once a year. In most cases 3 to 5 years is fine depending on tank size number of people using it and if it is taken care of properly..ie no wipes or other trash being flushed. If the tank is healthy the bacteria and microbes eat the sludge and keep the levels down and prevent it from building to much to fast.
5:23 maybe avoid closing the septic tank lid to provide oxygen to soakaway worms. septic tank is anaerobic. closing septic tank lid, suffocates the worm. source : 'The problem with septic tanks is that they are an anaerobic (no oxygen and septic) process with no, or very little dissolved oxygen in the liquid!' in www.wte-ltd.co.uk/septic_tank_treatment_worms.html from google (soakaway worms) result 1
that was my thought as I watched the video and before reading any of the contents. You don't see worms in a lake or a swampy area which is basically what your septic tank is
In the illustration where he shows the inside of the tank there is an inlet and an outlet water comes in from the inlet and attempts to come out of Outlet into the leach field however if air gets trapped in the outlet it will effectively creates an air seal now I could be completely wrong but watch this video start at 12:29 in the link I have provider ua-cam.com/video/1tmsHa5spqc/v-deo.html
I take couple spoon to this every morning and I haven't had to go to the bathroom ever since I've been taking it it works real good
Lol 😂
I just eat powdered milk, so I only have to dust once in while. Works great.
Are these worms trained and certified? Cause i dont wand a bad batch
Thank you for your great advice& may you continue to thrive & prosper.
You don't pump once a year as suggested here. You pump when the sludge gets to 33%. This could be a year or in my case 7 years.
Worms or enzymes?
an easy phrase for people to remember is "water seeks its own level", which really helps you to visualize what goes on inside

I don't like worms but I think it is better than some water jet which wastes water and money so better to lose 1 thing than 2
The plumber wants $600 to spray wash my septic tank.

Do they eat roots
My congratulations to you for such a very well done video with VALUABLE INFORMATION. A great job... Thumbs up...
Lol, you need to do some research mate. Worms DON'T live in that environment. This is just pointless

Our worms drowned and our tank is blocked once more..a complete waste of money.

Very quickly meaning what?
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THEY EAT ALL THE SHIT? Do they then clog the system?
No but their shit does
Pure snake oil!
I have the solution for all of this, CLEAN YOUR TANK 3 TO 5 YEARS
They drown!

Tubifex worms live underwater. Do your homework.
This video is so much fail. Oh, you have swamp in your yard? Add worms... Waste of my time and yours.
Lol what a scam
boy that was helpful...not!
