Some 7-8 years when I started playing badminton ,I used to get "Theri" from my doubles partners because I did not know how to do short backhand service in doubles 😉 . So tied a rope in my home and started serving 50 shuttles daily for a month ....Though still my technique of holding the shuttle is wrong (Now I find it very difficult to change) ,somehow managed to get it low and tight. The technique using the wall to train would have helped a lot as well ..The explanation is clear and will help all the beginners 👍👍
I'm mostly a self taught badminton player. I tried the backhand serve a couple of times when I was younger but could never get it right. Therefore, for more than 25 years, I used the forehand serve. However, my technique wasn't good and my serves were inconsistent. It rose too high or fell short into the front box many times. I watched your video for the first time yesterday and used your technique today. The result was fantastic and my serves were much better! You explain everything step by step and in a manner which is simple to understand. Thank you! N.B: Would you consider adding closed captions to your videos in other languages (Hindi / English) as well? I know my friends here in the North would be interested to watch them.
Just came across this channel. Have watched all your videos in one go . Really helpful. Thanks a lot. Have already shared it with my friends . Could you please do a video on how to improve smash power ? (not jump smashes which are meant for advanced players, but basic forehand smash for beginners/intermediate level players)
Based on the comfort of the player , we can stand closer to the service line . The advantage of the position explained in this video is the server can attack the shuttle played by the opponent to the center of server and the partner .

Thank you Sir. These techniques will work for consistency and accuracy in backhand low service....

Back hand serve il fether il pidich cheyyanam ennath rule aano
It's not a rule , but more comfortable to hold the shuttle for backhand low serve .
See many players stand as close as possible to service line and lean forward when the do doubles service. It's a different technic?
