Ty so much! I am starting my first remote teaching job and will be using Classin. I have 9 days to get ready and your video has me feeling encouraged and inspired!
Hi Heather! Thanks for watching and commenting. Congrats on the new teaching job! I am excited to read you will be using ClassIn. I truly think it is one of the best online learning platforms that exists. I hope we see more schools in the US move to using this platform soon.
I would love to know if you would consider doing a tutorial for those of us who have zero experience with Classin. For example, I want to use it as a tutor so each of my classes are 30 minutes long and will have 1 or 2 students per time slot. I need to know how to create these multiple classes week after week, how do I share the pdf I have created as well as the audio and videos for each? I am feeling very overwhelmed but surely I can't be the only one. Thanks for listening.
There is no training help with this net work and it is too complicated to use. There is also a 200 pound pre payment for your balance abx if you don't use your balance within a year they will take it and zero your balance.
Greetings from a both brick-and-mortar and online language teacher (English as a Foreign Language & Spanish) in Taipei, Taiwan--I'm an American expatriate and a permanent resident here. This is an excellent video, very informative! Thanks for posting it. Do you know of an interactive Classin tutorial somewhere that will tell me what you just told me and then prompt me to work a simulated control? Is there such a thing either online or inside of Classin itself? Thanks!
Looking for a new platform with some of the features you are offering. I wanted to know can you add tabs to your board to move from one to another. Does this program have an organized library to access all your files? Also can you save the students lessons to start again the next day? I tutor one on one reading lessons all over United States.
How do I get the laser pen to work so that my mouse pointer appears with a circle around it? Is there an "undo" function? Is it possible to blackout an element in the ppt/pdf? How do I give control to the student? Is there a checkmark icon anywhere?
Thank you very much for this informative video. If I have a Google Slides presentation to use in my lesson, would I use the Apple Share button or the screen share button?
What are the basics of operation? Does each student need to download that that? How are students invited to participate? Do I send them a link like how Zoom operates?
Hi! Thanks for watching. I agree that student security is very important. ClassIn does provide many layers of security. ClassIn is a teaching system. For standard courses, no one can enter a classroom without being previously placed in through the dashboard. To enter a public course, a complex ID is required, which is difficult for any random person to crack. In terms of screen-sharing on Zoom, it is on by default. However, on ClassIn, this function can only be turned on after the teacher is being authorized. So it is an extra layer of protection.
Hi there, You can let them download ClassIn and register and once they give you their phone numbers they used to register, you can use that to add them to any class you want or you can just create a class and send the link
I can tell you that you will need to pay 200 pounds into your account before you can use it. That's a point not given in the video above. Also if you don't use your balance after 1 year they will zero your balance and keep your cash.

When I made this video last school year, the recording tool was free. I haven't used ClassIn this school year but have noticed that several of the tools that were included for free last school year have now been moved to the paid version.☹
Your great efforts are greatly appreciated. Actually what I am looking for as a teacher is how to manage virtual groups for the speaking task. Do you know any platform that offers this task? I mean If I want to conduct a speaking task online, is there an app or a website that helps create small groups of students who can talk within their selected group as the teacher jumps from one group to another to monitor, guide, help, support and get feedback? If you know, I think It will be really fruitful to instruct and share because most platforms miss this tool.
Hi! Thanks for watching! Yes, I agree the breakout rooms in most platforms are not good for online teaching because they make it difficult to monitor and engage with students unless you are also a member of the group. The breakout room feature is another one of the reasons why I like ClassIn compared to other platforms. ClassIn allows the teacher to create small groups of students who can talk within their selected group as the teacher jumps from one group to another to monitor, guide, help, support and get feedback. It is much easier to monitor and engage with each group.
Thanks for watching! Sorry, I've never heard of any specific curriculum that is adapted for ClassIn. You can find a curriculum you like and share it with students through screen share in ClassIn.
You don't, your only paying a high yearly amount of 200 pounds for the complicated virtual classroom. Training is needed to use this platform. I notice the costs are not given in the video. This is not so good. I have lost a 200 pound balance from my account.
Hi Ana! Thanks for watching and commenting. I apologize for the delay as I was looking into some questions left by you and other videos. I am no longer using the platform this school year as I no longer need access to this type of platform. Thank you so much for the video!! It really helped me become more familiar with the tools and gave me some great ideas. After searching for a few days, I finally found the membership prices, haha. They seem reasonable. I'll probably begin with the Lite membership for now. I thought I read somewhere, there is a student feedback capability? Thanks again, for the great video!! :-)
Hi Rick! Thanks for watching and commenting. ClassIn is an AWESOME tool! I think you and your students will enjoy using it! I am not sure exactly what you mean by "student feedback capability," but one of the things I love about ClassIn is that it provides a lot more ways for teachers and students to interact compared to most other LMS that I have used.
