- Why have so many professional anglers relocated to Lake Guntersville in Alabama? There are more FLW Cup and Bassmaster Classic Champions living on G'ville than any other lake in the country. Why?
One of the best fishing channels on UA-cam (IMO) is RICHARD GENE THE FISHING MACHINE ,he primarily fishes Lake Guntersville.
now its the chickamauga effect..... ever since wheeler and tactical bassin dudes moved there, many have followed. look up property on and near chickamauga......its crazy. even chattanooga between nickajack and chickamauga....insane. I think it started because guntersville got so crazy....now its expanded to all the tn river lakes....pickwick, etc. so many tourneys on these lakes, yet they still have a good population of good size fish. really says something about TN and AL management of these lakes. Plus theres so many tourneys and the lakes are so hammered by pro fishermen; the bass have seen every bait thousand and thousands of times. if you can go to tn river lake and consistantly catch fish and solid limits....that really says something about your fishing ability. .

I live here and it really hacks me off to see the different agencies talking about how they embrace the fisherman,,,,BS,,,,If so there would be a decent boat ramp.( Ex Engals Harbour, Decatur al.) somewhere on Lake Guntersville...They should be embarrassed every time a bigtime derby comes to the lake.....So Tourist Organizations do something or stop with your idle talk....
Lake gets way too much pressure need to regulate tournaments on the lake not have 3 a day people dont care about the health of the lake and the ton more fisherman we have now days they only care Bout short term profits fisherman bring to town of g-ville
I lived there for 13 years.....i miss that place only because of the lake not the drugs or millions of Mexicans!!!!!

Its a great place to live there. Will be there in july 2020. I own a lot just down the street from Randy. Hopefully will buy my new nitro at Ducketts marine because it will be 5 mins from my new house.
