Having had a fryer for several years. A tip for the pasta I precook or another way is to soak the pasta in hot water for a short while. It rehydrates the pasta just a bit.Hope this helps.
Definitely a good tip Patsy you are not wrong💕, I always pre cooked for oven pasta bake b4 ninja but this was an experiment not to be repeated😅 I've since made macaroni cheese and pre cooked the macaroni - soooo much easier lol. 👍💕💕
I am new to air fryer cooking. Was beginning that it was all chips and chicken wings, then I found your first attempt at pasta bake. You make the mistakes and we can all learn from them. Good luck.
I’ve not done pasta in my ninja dual but I have pressure cooked for 3 mins in my Ninja foodi max. I’m going to have a go at this thank you for all your inspiration. ❤
Hi, you could’ve used the probe that’s in the side of the air fryer put it in a sausage so you can see the internal temperature of it on the screen Whilst it’s cooking.
Hi Kerry, it turned out well in the end, i think it's a better idea cooking the pasta first and it'll probably cut down on the cooking time. It was a tasty meal. I put you tube on yesterday and another site popped up which I'd never seen before called Tracy and Colin, the food huggers. They got a garlic bread and in between the cuts they put a slice of pepperami and two slices of cheese, then did it in the oven. It looked really nice
Hi Sandra, it was all the rage putting or trying uncooked pasta in airfryers at the time - mad idea really and like you say, cooked pasta def a better idea!! I looked that channel up, loved the garlic bread upgrade with mozzarella and pepperoni, brill idea - will def try that, thank you for pointing me in that direction 😀👍💕
Hairdryers😂at the time of making this vlog, lots of people on AF forums were trying uncooked pasta and raving about the results, so I thought I've give it a go. Conclusion: definitely cook the pasta b4 throwing it in as a pasta bake😀👍
Haha there is a lot of bleeps, what with the checking, stirring and shaking we have to do - absolutely love it and congrats on getting hold of one!! 🎉🎉💕 my oven is now a cupboard space 🤣 thank you for your kind words too😀👍💕💕💕
Thanks Martin👍 I do move it, it's on wheels and an old oven baking sheet, pull it away from the wall. Those were early days, kept forgetting to pull it out
That's a great little vid, love. Learning the do's n do'nt's , like most of us who are new to these gadgets.I hav'nt got one, yet !! (av'nt a clue which one to go for)
Thanks Bob👍👍 anything with 2 drawers as you can cook 2 different things for breakfast, lunch or dinner, other brands do 2 drawers as well and cheaper too. Ninja Airfryers hard to get hold of at the mo. If someone said, give your Airfryer up and go back to oven cooking I'd say "sod off!"😄
My first pasta was a biiiiiiig flop.i used raw pasta.since learnt to precooked your pasta ontop of the stove for 10.mins then mix it into the sauce and then into the air fryer for 10 mins.

Can I ask where you got your thermometer from as I have the same air fryer af451uk just done fresh fish tonight with the thermometer what come with the air fryer and roast potatoes
I've had that one for years Kevin - can't remember hmmm maybe Robert dyas, I haven't tried the af451 probe yet. Think I prefer a handheld one thou, can you see the temperature on the airfryer or does it ping when done? I might give it a go on sunday with a chicken. Your meal sounds lovely, I love fish but out of the 4 of us I'm the only one🤦♀️ really love my airfryer, just cleaned my old oven and will use it to store pots and pans, tiny kitchen so need the space. Thanks for watching btw☺️
@@budgetcookinguk yes you can see the temperature on the probe when the food is cooking and you can have a choice whether you want it rare to well done on beef
@@budgetcookinguk I’m so delighted to have bought my air fryer a few months ago before the mad dash and wouldn’t be without it. Hi Kerry... Noticed in this vid that you said the side of the drawer was hot... I'm permanently stuck in a wheelchair so I look up and over the drawer when the drawer is on our work surface, well, I recently burned the bridge of my nose doing just that... 😂😅😂😅 Soz, just trying to make you laugh xxx

Fantastic videos, I now sleep hearing that bleep 🤣had our ninja for about 3 weeks !! Its changed the way we cook. It's amazing.

use the second drawer to at least partially pre cook the pasta ?
That's an idea thank you👍 but I think I'll just par boil on the hob as guaranteed results☺️
Hiya. I'd move the ninja out a bit if I was you. It got vents all around it. Its ment to be a inch from the wall. Great pasta 🎉

Cooked pasta always, uncooked never again for me Lois🥴😄💕💕
Grate a slice of bread and stir through some mature cheddar cheese for a crunchy topping 👌
Thank you Debbie👍💕 I'll try that, I'm doing a broccoli and chicken pasta bake this week - top tip! atb Kerry😀👍💕
You could cook your sausages and bacon at the same time, the advantage of having two drawers
