EP 4 BTS Udaipur to Killar | Mrikula Devi Temple, Dangerous Roads in Pangi Valley, Himachal Pradesh

Killar is around 75 km from Udaipur & it’s in the Chamba District of Himachal, known as the Pangi Valley.

Date of Journey - 19th June 2024
Homestay in Udaipur - Sharma Homestay. This homestay has about 8 to 10 rooms.
In Udaipur village there are not more than 7 to 8 homestays, so prefer to do your booking in advance.

Breakfast at Homestay - After this, we had breakfast at our Homestay. The Homestay owner made us - Chillada & Aloo Parantha in the breakfast.
Udaipur Bus Stand - Then we visited the Udaipur Bus stand & met Mr More Singh ji (Incharge Bus Stand) & understood the routes & bus timings of different regions.
Mrikula Devi Temple - After this, we visited the Mata Mrikula Devi Temple, the temple is dedicated to Maa Kali. This Temple was constructed in the 11th Century. It is believed that the temple was constructed from a block of wood by the Pandavas during the time of Mahabharata.
Mini Manali - We traveled around 1 km from Udaipur & reached the place known as “Mini Manali”. If you are traveling to Udaipur then you can spend sometime at this place.
Lunch at Tindi Village - On the way to Killar we reached at the Tindi Village & had lunch here.
Dangerous Road - Journey from Udaipur to Killar passes through some patches which are dangerous espcially if you look down the valley, there are so many cliff regions.
Phindroo Village - 15 km before Killar we stopped at the Phindroo Village, Pangi Valley& visited the Pangi Tourism Homestay - Ranjeet Homestay.
Tariff - Rs 700 for double occupancy
Killar - We reached Killar & met Mr Ashok Ji, he runs a gift shop in killar market & understood about the places to visit in the Pangi valley.
