How do you know they got the best cornerback in the draft? You don't know what you got on draft day until years down the line.
The Eagles extended AJ Brown because next season the Eagles wouldn't be able to trade him with a 41 million dollar a year coming in 2026. The Eagles just made sure to keep him a tradable asset.

This first round was great. I was ecstatic that the eagles were able to get the best corner in the draft without having to give up one of their second round picks

I have to give Howie Roseman 👏 for being patient, not having to trade up, and sticking to their draft board. Not to mention, sneaking in right before the draft and extend AJ Brown. Just another prime example why the Eagles continue to be one of the best run organizations in the league, and always find a way to be two or three steps ahead.
I am probably more excited to see what happens tomorrow night, knowing that there are so many good prospects left on the board. I'm anxious to see what Howie might do with the 50th & 53rd pick. I would not be surprised if Howie stays put again, and Draft the best players on their board.
I have my eyes on the LB Edgerrin Cooper, EDGE Marshawn Kneeland, S Tyler Nubin, TE Ja’Tavion Sanders, OL Cooper Beebe, and Blake Fisher.
Draft crush lol. Very informative video. Was crazy that Howie got his guy without having to trade-up. Was expecting him to make some kind of move. Probably will make some moves on day 2.
First impressions from the draft interview he seems like a humble and likable young man with great corner skills, is fast, and is hungry to work and learn. A great Philadelphia Eagle center once said “hungry dogs run faster”. I really like the pick.

I’m so proud that the eagles represent our city. What howie did this offseason was amazing. What team in the league has two top 10 receivers locked up for next 6 years and a stud running back behind a top OL oh and I forgot drafted the best CB in the draft without having to trade up. Look at the cowboys a shyt show but our gm handle business go birds baby go birds 🦅

Like the pick. Small PTSD like fear of 2020 situation being so similar were Reagor & J. Jefferson fell to their lap but they obviously picked Reagor
It's a little different with Reagor not being projected above Jefferson ever. Mitchell and Arnold were totally split as the consensus top 2 CBs.
This isn't anywhere close to that. Arnold isn't some sort of can't miss prospect like Jefferson was. And lots of analysts had Mitchell as a top 10-15 guy in this draft. It was clear from the moment that pick was made the Eagles got it wrong with Reagor

1 QB who put up good numbers in the SEC and PAC 12.
1 QB who can do it all. 3600 passing yards 450 rushing yards 24 passing TDs and 9 Rushing TDs. Covid just had them coming out at the same time.

Allen Rossum had more success. after leaving the Eagles., Rossum's infamous play as an Eagle was he was on his way to returning a punt or kickoff return for a TD well he was running down the right sideline with no one near him, and had the ball in his left arm (the wrong arm ) and the kicker or Punter dove at Rossum in desperation and stripped him of the ball and the other team recovered.

I really thought they would have to trade up to Seattle to get a player like Mitchell. I can't believe that the draft wants so heavy offense in the first round. I know the only blue chip players were offensive players there's no blue chip defensive players this year but this is crazy. Nobody had Mitchell going that late and I know nobody had offense being picked until 16. That broke the record by 9 players The old record was 7. 16 offensive players will probably never be broken
Now for the rest of the draft rounds 2 and 3 and thru the weekend the Birds need a LB or edge rusher and some O lineman.
We could actually get one of the top 3 lbs in the draft and have them sit behind Devin white for the year (cooper, colson, Wilson)

Adisa Isaac should have a 3rd round grade. I wouldn’t hate taking him in the second round but there are a few other guys that they can get ahead of him.

I’ve been telling y’all for weeks that Cooper Dejean was not a first round pick.
I get REALLY tired of people saying that "Player was drafted at 'X', he has to play." No he doesn't. When you draft a player in the early rounds, it is an investment. You go by the timeline of the individual investment. Jordan Mailata could have been a 1st rounder. He plays when the millionaire coaches think he is ready. You paid to write shit people ain't reading, which is why you get paid shit.
