I don't have a Taurus, but I have had to send guns back for warranty work to Walther, Kahr, NAA, and Ruger (never Glock, though). The turnaround time has generally been about 3 weeks from the time I ship it to when I get it back in hand. Generally, when I describe the problem, they just fix it and send it back. I get shipping notifications both ways but the companies have never had to contact me directly for anything
Any update to this? I have the smaller grip only. I have tried to get the longer grip and was told by Taurus that they no longer are available. I have gotten a couple of replacement grips, but they are all the ones where the grip frame protrudes through the grip back. Mine is like yours where the frame is inside the grip totally. Please update.
Where's the Update to the update? Mine screws up just fine. I just purchased mine and need to send it back. The cylinder bolt does not push the pin on the cylinder far enough to allow the cylinder to be easily opened. It's so difficult, that I've cut my finger on the cylinder.
I just got this revolver today, it has the longer grip already installed, judging by what i can see, it looks like your grip is not pushed up enough, even when you slammed it in, mine has less space inbetween the grip and the frame, maybe put some rubbing alcohol inside the grip and push on again.
You might check to see if there is something at the bottom of the long grip, or sometimes the packer might have had the wrong length screw for a day. Taurus is not in going to intintualy send the wrong length screw, go to Lowe's and get the correct screw, after all it is only a screw.

Love the 605 poly!! Had mine for 3 years no issues! Every gun manufacturer has its lemons but the 605 is not one of them 👍
All you have to do is go to your hard ware store and get a bit longer screw with same thread and hex head
Looks like a GREAT gun , Looks like it may just need a little longer screw ?
Definitely a longer screw, it's an easy fix but I wanted Taurus to know about it.

Probably long past, but does the screw go in without the grip? In other words is it the screw or the grip?

It would have been easier just to contact Taurus and let them know that they sent the wrong screw and they would have sent you one for nothing.
you need the long screw better stay away from guns
