So Ms. Park wanted to teach Nayeon her one final lesson, which is, while you are breathing, you have an opportunity to reflect on your actions, evaluate, and repent your mistakes. By God's grace, if both of them make it out alive, Nayeon would have learned a powerful lesson. That her own teacher, knowing that she was wrong still stood by her and gave her a chance to reflect and learn from her twisted ways and mistakes. That her mistakes did not determine who she was, but rather, the potential to reflect and learn to become a greater person than who she was before weighed more in her teacher's mind, giving her worth and value to go on, and not get stuck in her present, sick condition. Even if the blood ended up in someones mouth, you wouldn't turn unless there is a cut in your mouth. As long as it doesnt enter your bloodstream you should be fine. I think that is the logic behind it.
A bit of context regarding Hee-Su, the girl who left her baby in the bathroom. South Korea has a very low teen pregnancy rate, but there is a very large social stigma against it. There is also a social stigma against single mothers in that kind of situation. So when teen pregnancy occurs, it's not unheard of for the baby to be abandoned. There is a documentary about a South Korean pastor named Lee Jong-Rak who has taken in several abandoned children. you should watch what happened with the accident of the Seowl, in real life, in South Corea. That would give you so much context about this series, the simbolims, even the colors of some things. This tragedic happened like 5 years ago, so go and reed about it and the think with the camera, and so many things get sense inmediately. It was a ferry that had an accident and killed so many students. AND THE ADULTS LEAVE THEM ALONE.
My assumption as to why blood in scratches are infectious while blood in someone's mouth isnt is because maybe it needs to be in the bloodstream or it needs to mix with your blood in order to infect you? Not the strongest argument but its something.
