    Hey the deck looks great. I have always been nervous about using steam on raw wood that it might fur it due to high heat. But maybe that’s only the case for unsealed hardwood floors not decking ? Softwood like pine alright to steam clean as well ?
    Again great results!

      I don’t use heat. I used reduced pressure and a wider fan jet here.

    Good job as always, if you don’t mind me asking what mix do you use the oxalic at? Recently bought some but couldn’t really see any benefits from using it over my usual decking cleaner

      I used about 100g in 10 litres of water.👍🏼

    Hi Ash, thanks for all your hard work doing these videos, very informative. May i ask, i have to treat some moss on tar mac, was thinking of just using some soft wash. What ratio would you recommend? Thanks very much.

    • @aemackintosh
      @aemackintosh  2 роки тому

      You shouldn’t use sodium Hypochlorite on tarmac as it can discolour the tarmac. A biocide product would be best.👍🏼

    Nice work. What made you choose that chemical over BAC?

    • @aemackintosh
      @aemackintosh  2 роки тому +1

      The Hypo is faster acting, than BAC. The BAC would be better as a post treatment to help prevent organic growth returning again so quickly.

      @@aemackintosh I was on about the Oxalic 😆
      You used Hypo for the bleaching agent so I would have used BAC after but I'm still learning 😉

    • @IamAraon

    • @aemackintosh
      @aemackintosh  6 місяців тому

      I will always talk through the job with customer first and give them an idea of what the results are likely to be, and what steps might need to be taken afterwards (wood treatment/staining).
      So it’s about managing expectations and knowing what you can realistically achieve.

    Aren’t these chemicals harmful to humans and plants??

    • @aemackintosh
      @aemackintosh  2 роки тому +1

      I wouldn’t drink it.😉👍🏼 These are chemicals for professional use. If you are worried about surrounding plants you should wet the surrounding areas first and wash away with plenty of water afterwards and the plants will be ok.👍🏼
