Recipe I use calls for ranch dressing pack, and aus ju pack, and jar peppercini peppers, cook low and slow until falls apart. I use deer, elk, beef, pork roasts for this recipe. There all delicious
Well, I don't have a slow cooker, but I might try a roasting pan with a lid and put the chuck roast in the oven. Hope this works and I will have a nice beef sandwich. I like this recipe because the cut of beef is inexpensive instead of the top of the round. Thank you. Anthony Joseph Lucchese
This is not a Italian Beef people. The real sandwich is not cooked with pepperoncini or with cheese, also you want the gravy or the juice as this man called it on the the bun for flavor. The peppers you want on the sandwich are sweet peppers or hot giardiniera. The biggest mistake is shredding the crap out of that meat, you want thin slices if not don’t shred the meat that much.
Agreed. This is probably a very tasty beef sandwich but it's not an Italian Beef sandwich (made famous in Chicago). Different ingredients, different method of cooking, different preparation, no cheese, different peppers....calling this an Italian Beef sandwich is like calling Chicken Marsala the same thing as Chicken Parm. They're both chicken, both Italian and both are served with pasta but they're not remotely the same.
Italian Beef Sandwich ?? That is not Italian Man,An Italian beef is a sandwich, originating in Chicago,(Mean American) composed of thin slices of seasoned roast beef, simmered and served au jus (known by locals as 'gravy') on a long Italian-style roll.
vilko skorlich this is how the Italians made it at home. The beef sandwiches you have in Chicago at Al’ s, portillos, or any of those is simply easier to prepare and to serve. Same ingredients. Different steps.
@@TheGaloov93 Why'd you have to mention Portillo's? Now I gotta order some more and get it sent down here to Tennessee! I miss Al's too, with that licorice taste. I never saw no Italian Beefs wit cheese or pepperoncini peppers on them in Chicago though. That would be like putting ketchup on a hot dog.
Sorry, my man, but, you got me a bit confused; seems to me, it COULD have been a bit more organized and lucid to us mortals. It might have been a bit more prepped and organized (then, show the entire component), "wanna-be a YTer influencer" vs a cook. Ya' lost me with the organization; dropped off... Sorry.
I taught myself how to make this killer tavern sammy back before the www. The secret of nailing it is using the peppercinis with the juice. Cheers.
We often use packages of Italian dressing and Au Jus gravy mix with a chuck roast and just let it cook all day.
I imagine that works out pretty good too. Thanks for stopping in!

You did not show when water was added along with juice from the peppers
This is some kind of beef sandwich, and I’m sure it might be tasty, but definitely not an Italian beef.
Out of memory!
