With a more street sound as a duo, it would have been good to see how they would have developed further. The style of music on the Eternal album is far more advanced than their first 3 albums. The dance routine and video for What'Cha Gonna Do were slick!
Jamie Theakston wasn't always kind to Eternal when Kelle left. Anyone remember the Ozone interview, it was great to see E & V reprimand him! I'll never forget that how he treated E & V. Sadly me, as an Eternal fan, denied further more years of songs 😔
This Song and ALBUM are SLICK SLICK SLICK.........the only reason it bombed is because of the bad publicity of dropping kelly and also their management team first avenue-but the song and album was KICKING!!
I'm guessing youve never seen her solo video's on you tube then?? Check Out... Easther Bennett Shy Guy TOTP & Easther Bennett Amazing Grace Live 2002... :)
Jay West I've seen quite a few of your comments around on eternal videos etc, and I get the impression you're not a fan of Kelle, but you seem to like Easther & Vernie? If I'm right, just out of curiosity, what is it about Kelle that rubs you the wrong way? Lol. She seems to be the most approachable, and charismatic member when they were a trio, especially during interviews. The other two would often become cold when it was her turn to talk. She's clearly not the most talented of the 3 but she seems like a lovely person. She also revealed on more than one occasion that she felt very lonely on the road in the group and missed her family, whereas the other two, being close siblings had each other to keep going. She said in an interview that she was bullied in the group and struggles with health problems, so I do have a sensitive spot for her, I'll admit. But it would be interesting to know your thoughts on her as a member of the group and as a person.
swiftlydoesit No, I like Kelle, but think it was wrong how she didn't really give a shit about Eternal and their legacy. Before the Rain kinda sucked because of Kelle messing around, not wanting to record with the other girls.
Shame it only made it to number 16... I think it was their best song, very relevant r&b sound of late 90s, similar to Destiny's Childs "With Me". It's actually more interesting with them as a duo, Verne's harmonies are more prominent. Kelle, nice girl, but she was boring, she didn’t do much.
classic, can't believe it was their last performance
ester's voice and style peaked at this stage she was at that point a master of the art
AMAZING. Such a sick routine. Made such a change for Easther to mime!
Amazing amazing ladies, saw them Saturday ❤️❤️❤️
This is a hot song it should had been at number 1 I love it 😄

Reminds me of Aaliyah.
I think they worked well as a duo.

Not a very good song, let's face it.
