They won’t cuz it doesn’t fit the narrative. The fact that Lamar is top 3 in every passing game statistic in his 2nd year in a more pass friendly scheme just shatters every horrible take mainstream media has had about Lamar throughout his entire career
A testament of how good this teams offense is, overcoming that many penalties yards, plus not scoring in first quarters of games. Look at their team offense stats. It’s crazy. Overcoming that many double digit points in games. Over 100 penalty yards almost every game.
Yes they have definitely been chasing and doing a good job of it for the most part. I would love for them to lean on the run more in the 1st, especially when Lamar is over-throwing or just a little off (no knock on him) as sometimes just happens with QBs. Seems like the team as a whole comes out a little too hot most games. I think Lamar even said that recently.
I’m starting to think zay is really not a number 1. I think he’s a guy that is really good in shorty to intermediate. Get him the ball early and let him do damage after the catch. Bateman will drop an easy one but he’ll come right back and make a really difficult catch. I was really impressed by the concentration and focus he had in that 40 yard TD catch. An of course Lamar drops that pass in a bucket
Both Zay and Bate are #2s, that’s the problem. EDC still needs to go out and Grab a big bodied #1 who can make contested catches in traffic. The ravens Receivers should be Zay, Bateman, Nelson, Wallace, keep Dionte Johnson( route running), see what Dayton wade can do, but they still need that big body with a wide catch radius who can also flat out fly. Tez Walker was supposed to be that guy but that’s another developmental player drafted by EDC, that may not show up till year 2-3. We need him now.
As a Dolphins fan watching from the outside, it seems like your Ravens have to get ticked off to play their best. That's just an observation from the outside. I'm jealous of how good they are honestly.
Another big game Sunday. Lamar and the ravens need to lock in against the eagles. They seem to play up to competition and Sunday is big. RAVENS NATION ALL DAY
I dont see anything wrong with what Khalil said. He was talking about from a personal standpoint and he personally was very effective against the run. He called out his defense but also stated that he (again personally) looks forward to going against great run offenses. I grew up watching the great Lawrence Taylor and win or loss LT was a force of nature. Teams that successfully ran the ball against the NYG would not run towards LT otherwise they got stuffed. Thats pretty much what KM said and again when you are a probowl defender, i dont see an issue with that. If 44 said he doesn't have an issue guarding Jamar Chase, and is successful at it regardless of how the rest of the backfield performs, he has a right to talk (again from a personal standpoint).
Lamar has basically exposed the fact that Both Zay and Bate are #2s, and that’s the problem. EDC still needs to go out and Grab a big bodied #1 who can make contested catches in traffic. The ravens Receivers should be Zay, Bateman, Nelson, Wallace, keep Dionte Johnson( route running), and see what Dayton wade can do. Tez Walker was supposed to be that guy but that’s another developmental player drafted by EDC, that may not show up till year 2-3. Disclaimer: I am saying this as a Chargers fan, but I actually disagree with the take on Khalil Mack's comment. Khalil Mack himself is a complete stud/"One of the Greats" and to his credit, he did stop Derrick Henry on his side as well as Lamar Jackson. He stated he loves playing with the greats and in doing so stated Henry is one of the greats. There's a reason the Raven's game plan was to avoid Mack's side when running. For Mack, stopping Henry probably isn't hard fundamentally as Henry isn't shifty or really a duel threat back. He's a bulldozer freak of nature that when he gets to full speed no one will stop. And once again to his own credit, Mack did stop Henry and Lamar when they went to his side. If someone at a lesser caliber than Mack said this comment then sure...but Mack is a beast himself and rates the comment, which in all honesty isn't really that controversial of a statement with the context.
Lamar is in his 7th year. If ur a defender talking crap after ur team loses and gloating bout keeping Lamar running in check when he still had 3 TDS then that’s really sad. Chargers decided to only rush 4 and keep Lamar in the pocket. Lamar had time to throw. That’s not how you stop Lamar: Lamar is a complete qb and there is a reason why he’s top 3 in every passing stat this year. Holding him in check on running plays is the least of bjs worries. Besides there were plenty kf times Lamar could have took off running on a scramble but decided to stay in the pocket. Teams may have an eye on the zone read designed runs but that’s not the same as pass plays that become scrambles
@@DerekR87 wasn't on him. He did his job. Like I said he rates the comment. And I think it's getting misconstrued to be something way more than what he actually said. It's really not that big of a deal and was focused more on keeping his teammates accountable than a diss at Henry.
Personally ravens gang. I feel as if we should never wear white. They just don't look as dynamic. Purple or black baby. Or both at the same time. Lets gooo. Brush
I didn’t know Khalil Mack played until they showed him on the bench at the end of the game
The crazy part that no one is talking about is... LAMAR leads the league in PASSING. 3053.🤷🏿♂️🤷🏻♀️
Yup crickets. Doesnt fit the running back narrative

Such a good game after just hanging around in the 1st quarter and we have been trained to just wait, they will get there.
Let's Go Ravens 💜 🖤
Zay really irritating me with not catching the easier passes he is so good but drops way to many

Bravo, Lamar

OC should consider more Run Plays, Short Passes and Underneath Passes in the first quarter rather going for downfield passes right away...
bootlegs would kill the opponent but not using our talent enuf, no likely or mitchell and becoming to predictable
I have doubts about this defense vs the Eagles offense(Saquon) specifically
We all have doubts about the defense. If roquan plays I will feel better. That being said Harrison did show up last night.
Saquan is getting his. They have to make sure no one else does.
Yea becuz Jk was cooking and I’m not so sure we win thus game had he not went out.
Imagine what saquan will do
Definitely going to be a challenge stopping him and Brown
Henry is a beast but his take off is slow they need to give Mitchell and Hill more snaps

Kevin's favorite word is "BUT"
King Henry!!!!!! 👑
Need to be more into there defense
We getting the 2 seed we got all the tie breakers and bills will lose 2 more games B4 year over
The Steelers have the tie breaker against the Ravens.
Naw we have to be at the Steelers to take the tiebreaker and pray they lose to the bengals/chiefs before they face us
I could see the bills losing to the lions and maybe the dolphins might upset them. Especially if dolphins get that final WC spot with by beating bills
We need help for the 2 seed, but it's possible.
It’s kinda hard to complain about an offense THAT IS ON PACE TO BE “THE GREATEST SHOW ON GRASS”.

Maybe if the DEFENSE would do their part… the offense wouldn’t need to chase.

Cut back on the caffeine
Biggest win of the season 😂😂 The Chargers 😂😂.
When Lamar lose that all you hear but when he wins nobody wants to talk about it. Not even his own people..smh
Let's go ravens
#23 is nowhere to be found on defense
Imagine talking trash after losing. How about doing it the week before the game next time.
Ravens only team with a top 5 QB RB WR😮
Who’s the WR?
Zay flowers🫠
Zay isn't a top 5 wr unfortunately

this team isn't ready to challenge for a for the superbowl, offense is predictable
