It's beautiful, but does anyone else notice the dimensions of the furnishings are a little off? Like the area rug is too narrow, and as gorgeous as the dining table is, I would have chosen something with slimmer legs. There's a lot of bulky furniture in a very small space - I think I would have chosen more streamlined furnishings so it didn't feel so crowded. I'm curious if anyone agrees.
Yes the first thing i said was it looks cramped. I think Jo realised it would be and that’s why she put in the bench. I think the bench was the wrong choice because there’s other things that could be done to make it feel bigger, like what you mentioned. The furniture is bulky and too many for the space. And definitely a dining table with slimmer legs is a good start
That is a personal perception. I find the rug n table fine.

*cart wheels. Old carts had spoked wheels. In doing a succession of 'cart wheels', your arms & legs look like the spokes of a cart's wheel in motion.

The island looks massive, I wonder if it needs to be or if it's more of a design choice.
They have a galley style kitchen (problem with Open Concept:less wall space) so the island has to be big enough for dishwasher, sink, extra cupboards ect.

You live in Australia then? What they do would be worth hundreds of thousands here. Mind you, most of our houses are double brick.
Just read somewhere that these couples don’t get to keep the furniture. It’s just a suggestion as to what the house could look like. They are usually gifted a few items but no - it all gets removed!! That’s why Chip and Jo focus on the fixtures ie kitchen cabinets, backsplash, bathroom, windows, floor tiling etc. genuinely shocked 😅😅😅😅

Does the Furnitures and accessories come with the Reno or is it all Staged and then removed after Filming ?? Fab Renovation as Always !!!
It's staged using items from Jo's shop but of course if the couple wants to include furnishings in the budget, that is on them. I think it's great because viewers wouldn't appreciate it half as much if they showed an empty home!
Yeah they (the homeowners) have the choice if they want to buy the furniture or not.

These kind of shows where they say they do a whole kitchen for $25,000! I just did my kitchen and did the labor myself and spent $50,000 and kept the floor and some of the cabinets.
They know where to shop and get good deals. Also they’re in Texas! Everything is cheap here lol especially in San Antonio
@@candylady618 not high end appliances like Thermador that I bought! We lived in the Ft Worth area and it’s not cheaper!
Depends where you live and being builders they’d get their supplies cheaper. Plus there must be some discounts and incentives for being on the show

Needed to be painted but that pale yellow is an ugly color. Should have painted the house white & used the 'creamy white' yellow as an accent color somewhere.

Renovation can take months and seasons can change from summer to fall/winter. Also owners are not living there while flip in progress so they can’t tend to lawn.
