thank you for including solid measurements! I didn't have 3 weight yarn so I used 4 weight and a bigger hook size but thanks to your measurements it still came out perfect!
Can I ask what hook size? I have the same problem.

You may want to steam your baret or let it soak in cool or lightly warm water for a moment, then lay it out and gently shape it on a towel. The blocking process helps a lot ❤

Does the size of the hook make hat bigger or smaller? When i crochet the hat like u do it comes out way to big...
I'm using 3 light yarn and 5.0 hook. Is my hook too big? Please please anyone please tell me why mine is making so big? I'm having to pull my out down to row 3 to start over. Can anyone help me? I'm still learning about crocheting.
Use a smaller hook to meet gauge. Mine was too big also, I used less rows
