About the "Thanks" ping. A QOL change I'd LOVE to see is to have a "Sorry" ping as well. Because sometimes you make a wrong decission or accidentally steal a farm from your mates. And often I feel an apology would prevent them from retaliating for no other reason that to quit pro quo. Which is stupid, yes, but a "sorry" would often prevent that.

I like to ping my move cooldown to let my allies know to peel back a little bit before engaging because I can't support them in the endeavor. Pinging Unite charge juat feels like a must a lot of the time.
I wish you would have touched upon the other side of the positioning coin. If you're an attacker, don't YOLO in ahead of your defender. If you're going to a fight together and the attacker is in front, they need to stop and let the defender go past. No matter how much the defender wants to be in front, that's not going to happen if the attacker tapes down their control stick and charges full speed ahead, they aren't just going to magically appear in front. Also if you're an attacker and your defender is engaging in a fight, please participate in that fight. Unless you're at critical health, the defender is there to draw aggro and get vision to help you attack the enemy. Not to draw aggro and die in a 2v1 so the attacker could run back and hide in a bush. Defenders are friends, not bait. Or they're kind of bait, but you need to be the hook and not just throw the bait out, shrug and walk away.
So true! Had that time where I was defender and wanted to go first to defend but chandy was just zooming past me for no reason. And the amount of times either of your allies just don't try to engage the ray fight and just wait to be hit by a stray move is frustrating.
I play Defender almost exclusively, and it breaks my heart when I stun a weakened opponent(s)or push them back into the team, and my full-health lane partner leaves the fight at full health to grab a piece of farm.
Once ago we were loosing pretty badly, I decided to turn on coms and gave a motivational speech, I knew it worked because we hung in there and ended up getting the win. Vibing is a must
I mean there is no vibing with a team in which i was tied for highest kills and ended up doing second highest damage ...... As a Full Support Blissey !
Not sure how well known this is - one of my favorite communication tools is opening the chat wheel then pressing the score button. When you have no points, it will ping “I need some energy!” which is great for stacking mons to remind their allies to leave the stray Aeos energy on the ground or allow the stacker to get a last hit. Alternatively, if you have points in your pocket, that ping will say “I can score a goal for [number] points!” which is great when you push a goal zone and have a chance to set up a big overcap.
For my fellow toxic gamers out there, this can also be used passive aggressively lol. If I’m about to drop 50 into a goal and my teammate walks up to break that goal with 7 while my score is still charging, chances are I’m gonna stop and look at them, then ping “my Unite Ball is full with 50 points of energy!” Since losing out on an overcap like that is a game-throwing play in many cases, the people need to learn!
@@spragelsTerrible, I never let my Pikachu teammates evolve. Seriously though, I probably do what I'm supposed to 80-90% of the time. Some of this I never even thought about like running curse and buddy barrier.

I think the one I have the most problems among these is map awareness and Rayquaza. The first is an easy trap when you panic from not scoring, meaning you try to get a score as quickly as possible and your team goes down because you aren’t helping and the opponent is a higher level. I have been on both sides. For Ray, I just have moments when I forget to watch the timer and I am scoring after the 2:30 mark without knowing. ADHD brain goes brrrrrrrrrr! I am also slowly learning the communication thing off solo play. I especially need it at times when I am trying to hold off opponents on a side no one is noticing.
The biggest one for me: Make sure your team has a defender and a supporter! And if there isn't one, even if you dislike the position, take the hit and pick it (well, unless you're terrible at it... But then again I'd rather have a terrible Eldegoss than no supporter).

To add to the positioning, if the enemy team has a Delphox or Gardevoir, dont stand in a clump, particularly before Ray or those ults are going to eat you up in a split second. 😅
It really depends. If it's gardie or delhpox, then yes. Sometimes there's speedsters that will eat up the entire team if they don't group up though, ans you want to stand as close to your defenders/supporters as possible if there's no ult threat. Gotta adjust accordingly based on team comps.

Yo Jake, I already use all of the tricks(especially the spinning one) and I win most of my games (78.1 winrate). It's fun playing like this and I mostly end up with 3 new friend requests a day so the name best Ally is real

Does anyone know, if the thanks ping, comes by default on the chat wheel? Or do players have to add it manually, which would make the whole thanks pinging worse, because you had to go out of your way in order to annoy people with thanks pinging
@@spragels imagine having to do all of that just to be annoying and condescending in a match, i would like to have it on my wheel for genuine thanks moments, but i have the im going top or bottom, lets gather at the central area and the one that asks for attacking wild pokemon, i feel like people ignore farm way too much sometimes and we should be focusing on clearing all our farm in our side instead of needlessly getting ko on ther t2 goal.
I already utilize all of this in my battles , I mostly use tanks and support and I'm a SoloQ player . The thing i dislike most is even after i help out the whole match with something like "snorlax with heavy slam , block or eldegoss with heals , mr.mime confusion barrier etc" If we lose , i get insulted on mics cus of my stats and that makes me not wanna play supports anymore . If i do good and we win matches in SoloQ all is fine even tho i get no credit , but the moment we lose and my snorlax has 20k-30k dmg cus its a defender , i get obliterated on most occasions (not all) in comms . And the people who do this the most are people who instantly pick greninja , deci lane carry and do bad the whole game . They don't even know what's the use of exp share , they skip jungle , they try backcap and somehow they are also allergic to playing some defenders or supports . What should i do then?
You just have to accept that they don't know what's right and move on. There's no helping those people without a mic tbh. I like to just get a good laugh and move onto the next match, that's really all you can do.

It's humans so guaranteed to mess up somewhere. Example. Today I ran a game. One ally followed me everywhere. Another decided to abandon lane so leaving that lane unattended, leaving it open to attack. We lost. Another bugbear of mine is THAT teammate who wants to level harder and quicker than anyone and dominate. I really don't like this teammate ( I really am being sarcastic here ) as their actions are not working towards the team but their narcissistic asses. Ridiculous as they don't understand the other team will go 5vsidiot and destroy him. These are my main gripes in any team. Stop abandoning lanes and stop stealing XP and postion from teammates. @@spragels btw love your content i have learned so much about this game that i never could have without you so thank you
@@flyingtree12 oh yeah huh haha, good catch
Whats crackin sparkles!!!!!???
Yooooo genesis!
I should link this video to my allies every game lol
let me know how they take it
I struggle to use the chat wheel because selecting things on it is hard, plus I stop moving
I wish my _unattractive_ teammates would watch this :/
By the way, I like the idea for the Road To Masters.
I still remember this overly positive voice-chat you did on stream. That was fun :)
I try to support my allies no matter how bad they play. It feels so depressing when you're a loosing streak because of bad allies though 😥
Moving, is also VERY attractive
I need to improve on about 3 or four of these points, but I do pretty well. I swear the people who don't understand Exp. Share or don't play any healing moves as a supporter needs to be studied.
The game needs Celebi as a strong supporter
They are plenty strong supporters, but each one works way differently
Quick comment: crown and vest are viable, when used properly, and very case-specific but you can get away with a non-troll fey w/o xp share, however, again, very case-specific.
Thanks for the tips spragels, this was so helpful. I didn't know until now that I can know whether my team have unite moves.
Title idea for how to position video
"I got the hawk Utah from the enemy Inteleon, it won the game"
Theres this annoying situation. My team is losing, we can take Ray, NO one shows up. I keep pinging nothing happens.
Yo Jake, I already use all of the tricks(especially the spinning one) and I win most of my games (78.1 winrate). It's fun playing like this and I mostly end up with 3 new friend requests a day so the name best Ally is real
I'm far too hype for the return of R2M! I can't wait to see you somehow carry a team by pushing your teammates
Your videos are so helpful ive been binging them! keep up the good content
Do you have a video on complimentary lane picks? That's such a big deal and is often overlooked
I am very attracive
We all are
Is leftovers on Sableye that bad bc I honestly love it, it allows me to rotate and essentially be back up to full health when I gank
Yee
Not today
I would totally watch a video just on position in depth for each class/role if you made it Jake @Spragles
I thought ur gonna add potion char and leftovers cinderace. But the video turned up to be really good
Is this the best Spragels video of 2024??
big if true
Now we only need a video on how to draft and win when your allies do not follow these hints.
TIER LIST IDEA
best early game pokemon/best at level 3
Example, mamo and lucario are def S tier where delphox is D tier
Recently i was TRYING to get some achievements and im pretty focused on the first roadmap. Needless to say, ITS PAINFUL. Luckly, in a bad match, i got Zapdos from the enemy team while using Eldegoss
I saved the match! C: (we were losing badly)
Such an important video for unite players!
Cant wait for the attractive road to master, i know it will be fun!
YEEHAW ROAD TO MASTER 😩😩❤️❤️❤️❤️ my fav serial of all time
❤️❤️
Use supporter, defender and help me be a good ally.
I always ping thanks genuinely. When they are taking all the farm in my lane not letting me evolve, or grieving, I just ping check this mf out..
I only have one thing to say in response to how great this video is. Thanks!
Does anyone know, if the thanks ping, comes by default on the chat wheel? Or do players have to add it manually, which would make the whole thanks pinging worse, because you had to go out of your way in order to annoy people with thanks pinging
They have to add it manually. It’s something you do when you are bad at the game.
@@15OgLoc I mean the second somebody uses a thanks ping I just mute them and go on
I would love a how to position video!
@@MusicComet If they were new players I could give them the better of it , but these guys half the time have 15k battles 🙏 like even after all that , you still don't get how to use exp share?
It's depressing that we can't do anything about it .... Either put up with these 30yr old kids on comms OR leave the game .
People in the NA and EU region seem atleast better than my region which is ASIA . Don't see much rant about players over here
@@Rindu_D_OG Those 15k games are why I said casual players specifically. People (no matter their age) who have never played MOBAs before and just play it for fun exclusively, so they don't look up sources to learn.
report the people insulting in mic for starters
Make these into shorts so there's more visibility!
Sometimes when I level 10 and enemy pokemon is level 4 and trying so hard to attack me, I don't touch them and just proceed beating wild pokemon on enemy's territory. Does this count as attractive??
I love when my allies don’t troll 🙂
Especially if that guy called that lane.
I’m going to put all these points in my dating profile. I’ll be unstoppable!🤠
let me know how it goes
I'm just wondering why you're stalking my games lol great tips!
I’m a pikachu main and have gotten so used to using leftovers cause I’m so squishy. What would you swap it with helpppppp
Clearly the most attractive thing one can do as an ally in Pokémon Unite is to grow a magnificent stache.
