I'm so glad you spoke about making a living. This is not usually discussed, and gives us a better view of the human being behind
    the legend

    "oh you're using a 20'' kick?"
Tomas: "yeah I use it as a crash..."

Hearing Tomas say he doesn’t practice is definitely mind blowing considering the technicality and endurance needed to play meshuggah, let alone a consistent 1 hour plus set.
Thanks for getting this legend on and having him talk solely about drums!

Great interview, Stan! Thanks for the opportunity to listen to Thomas. And I just noticed how productive you are, lol. I remember I subscribed to your after reviews of fancy blue pedals, and now you have a lot of content on your channel! I also heard that you are the father of three children. How do you combine drumming and contentmaking with fatherhood? After the birth of my son, I gave up drums for almost 10 years, but then I came back. And now I have a daughter, so the question is relevant again lol.

That’s a big question, with a big and long answer, which I am happy to go into, but here wouldn’t be sufficient.
In short, the key for me is prioritising my family, and my creativity. Everything, until this point, is based on these two things.
