    This video had some really good ideas that aren't scruffy or just plain ugly ... so I really appreciated this one. I would also like to see more storage ideas for rental properties so that people aren't left with holes that need filling and repainting when they leave. I have another point to make, and that is about putting containers on the inside of cups doors. One needs to consider that whatever is inside the cupboard needs to be pushed further back to account for the space the containers need when closing the doors.

    • @Kayenne54
      @Kayenne54 2 роки тому

      yes, even the lids for my pots and pans won't fit on the inside of my doors (I checked and additionally, my pots and pans drawers are very shallow but pull out). There's very little room between the shelf edge and the door in any of my cupboards...including my pantry. Plus extra weight on the inside of a door or pantry door - the upper hinge needs to be checked for durability. But I'm still here, trying to find a solution and some of these are great anyway. I may be able to work around some of the shelf edge/door issues...maybe.

      Jumper cables in cereal box, for the computers and video cords - haven't updated. Poster / presentation rolls work nicely; if cut carefully and bend open. Screw into back of centre or desk and if are close enough to the outlet power strip can be slid inside or zip tied topside.

      I think the ideal solution would be to screw curtain rods permanently into the inside of the cabinet door, but my cabinet doors are so hard & thin that if you can actually get a screw to go into them, it pokes out the other side.

    Some great tips here. However, I need to point out the potential danger in turning a drawer into a little, hidden charger and power cord area. It looks great and is super organized... and tempting! BUT... PLEASE keep in mind that sometimes, the little batteries and charge hubs/cubes can get very hot, and power strips can wear and short out. So, you will want to avoid heat damage or worse, fire. Just be sure to monitor your things often to ensure things are keeping cool. A little air flow is helpful too. Maybe add a mini fan to that strip :0)

    These ideas are great. The stacking baskets you can buy at Kmart and they're fantastic in the pantry for sorting kids lunchbox snacks. The rolling shelf (#4) we got at IKEA and use to store our kids art supplies. The IKEA cutlery strainer for the kitchen is perfect to hold pencils, textas and crayons in it too.

    2:32 Cereal container trash can in the car is a brilliant idea! Paint it to match car dashboard or interior and done! Very smart.
    4:07 - PVC Pipe fittings for hair dryer - Love it! I had a problem with mine.
    5:37 - Great idea for pesky cords all over. This is very useful for me. Will implement!
