Really can't wait to see NFL games in Germany. Have been to GFL games over there and have been fortunate to play football over Europe (but not in Germany sadly) and the appetite for it there is unreal. The London games have been good, but a game in Berlin/Hamburg would be immense!

His last year at FSU I would yell "That's the power of German engineering!" everytime he got a sack. And let me tell you, my friends were over it by his 3rd of 13 sacks his Junior season(last he played in college).
I still have my Werner jersey and I’m proud of it. Werner seemed like a great dude and that’s the spirit in which I got his jersey. I believed in him! He’s still awesome. I’ve followed his career after the NFL.
Football started here over 30 years ago. The GFL Was actually just called Bundesliga before that. I played from 1995 - 2000. Germany has a League System, where your Team has to advance. I started in the Aufbauliga (lowest League with the Husum Crabs (the seafood, Not the other thing dear Americans)) then I advanced to the Landesliga and the Flensburg Sealords. I finished my time with the Kiel Baltic Hurricanes II when we played Oberlippe, but my knees gave in.
I played for the Swedish National Team as a Junior then left for my senior Year to Sacramento and John F Kennedy High School! Then Played for Santa Monica College and had Chad Johnson and Steve Smith as Teammates! 6´7 - 245lbs TE running a 4.7 40y! Good hands from Basketball and GREAT feet from Soccer, Tennis, Table Tennis, Hockey etc etc etc!! Still Playing B-Ball at age 46 ;) Thx for the Best Show on the internet!! Go Tebow!!!

Growing up my school had yearly ping pong tournaments like track and you would move on to city-province etc

Means...the origin isnt german and more some kind of "assimilated" slang. If I would have to guess its most likely from germans with turkish ancestry...Deutsch-Türken.
