Today we take a first look on the NEXX X.WED3!
I have been using NEXX helmets for some years now and I love them. Quiet, comfortable, secure. And now the adventure line up is getting a big upgrade with this new helmet!
Lots of new features and improved ones make this helmet the most complete!

how this 1750 is LIGHTER then 1450 grams on the previous version? ))))). reverse mathematics?
Man, thanks for spotting this! 🙏🏻 I definitely messed up with the weight. 🤣 I will pin the comment for other people. I’m also writing NEXX because I am curious to know why the retail price of this model is exactly the same as the Zero Pro.
@@connectionearth This is the "Keyo" model right, which is the same Carbon Pro shell? Did you ever get an answer from Nexx?

@@cblais19 Same shell, they pick ones with "perfect patterning" to be the Carbon Pros and the less than perfect patterning they make into the decaled ones. The youtubers that went to the factory talked about this.

My favorite helmet during the last two seasons has been the X.WED2. ( beating Shoei GT Air2 and AGV sportmodular carbon ) I have been tempted by the Vilijord, but this seems to be the perfect replacement👍Looking forward to the road test

Thanks for the video. It will be interesting to see what you think of the helmet after using it for a month or two. I agree with you that the visor connectors on the X.WED2 suck. and these look much better.
Thanks! 🙏🏻 I will test it very soon in Tunisia 🇹🇳 but for the moment I can say that seems very well built although this version is too heavy for me.

Finally I found your video and it confirms the weight of this helmet. I was happy when I found this, because I really like the design and features, but 1700g for a full carbon helmet? The previous version was 1450g if im right…
Indeed, I agree! I think that the X.WED3 Zero Pro is the only one lighter 1501 gr.

Thanks for this presentation, unfortunately you forgot to show us the solar visor when you tried the helmet 😢.
How did it gain over 200g? That’s a bit hard to swallow at this price.
Can you feel the weight gain? Or does it feel light.

Thinking about buying the X.WRL (while it is still available and reduced in price), what are the main differences with the WED.3 and the X.WRL. The WED.3 looks like the combination of the WED.2 and the X.WRL in my opinion. Should I pay extra and buy the WED.3 or just go for the older model, the X.WRL, and save some money?
Hello Calvin! IMHO depends on the use: I would take the WRL especially if you do lots of offroad as lighter - 1250gr - then the others and more compact. The WED3 is more for adventure touring, but in case choose the lighter version, the one I present here it’s a bit to heavy 1750gr.

Is it heavier than the xwed2? 1600 grams without peak for a Large, carbon version doesn't seem that lightweight
I agree! I’m asking to NEXX why the retail price is the same as the Zero Pro model which is lighter.
Do you think this helmet has a big shell for it's size? On the picture it looks quite big.
I am a slim guy and some helmets look terrible on my head if they are too big.
I'm debating to wait for this or pick up an Arai XD-4 on sale...
I think the design of Nexx is generally a bit over-the-top. I was hoping they made them more sleek and elegant this time.
Hey man! I have a similar problem 😅 this one feels definitely bulkier and more “rounded” of the pervious version.
@@connectionearth just noticed, could it be hard to fit an intercom to the side of this helmet? there seems to be little free space?
That’s right. Not so much space for a non proprietary intercom. I usually clipped my Cardo on the side between the shell and the lining. this time I needed to stick it with 3M on the side of the helmet.
Those are made near my home.
They have really nice helmets. Pity that are a bit expensive.

Ciao! Al momento lo sto usando poco siccome risulta essere un po’ troppo pesante per uno come me che soffre anche di cervicale. 😊 direi che il modello Carbon più leggero sarebbe stato l’ideale.

Loro chiamano Carbon la normale fibra? Perché diversamente non si spiega un peso di quel tipo. Per il resto, il meccanismo della visiera sembra ben fatto e i rivestimenti interni veramente premium.
Ti do ragione! Effettivamente il costo di questo modello è del modello Zero Pro è lo stesso ma questo peserebbe 400gr in più! 😒

Way to heavy, nexx messed up. XWRL was the way to go, making it better but they decided to make a touring helmet of 1700-1800 grams and market it as the wildest adv off road focused helmet on history.......

Je pense que votre casque moto est légèrement trop grand a la vue de la vidéo ! Votre protection ou casque bouge beaucoup de trop au tour de votre tête... Pour un casque neuf, il vous faudrait une taille plus petite, c'est pour votre sécurité prenez note et aller voir dans un autres magasins ou revendeurs(encore une fois pour votre sécurité) PAS LA MIENNE... 😷🤕
Hey there! Thanks for the kind message. ❤ I tried the different sizes and this L is the one that is most fit (59/60). Maybe on the video seems too large but trust me it was fit just right 👍🏻😀
