Fermentation method of animal manure

Manure Fermentation Method, Fermentation of animal manure is the process of converting the organic materials present in manure into mature organic fertilizer that can be used in agriculture as fertilizer. This process can be done in different ways, but one of the most common is the following:
1. Collecting animal manure in a suitable place, where it can ferment easily, preferably in a place far from residential areas.
2. Emptying the manure on the ground and leaving it for a few days to dry a little, and collecting straw and fodder that may be found with the manure.
3. Divide the compost into small parts using a fork or a bulldozer, in order to facilitate the fermentation process and provide sufficient space for aeration of the compost.
4. Wetting the compost with water at a rate ranging from 50% to 60% of the compost weight. Water treated with beneficial microbes can be used to speed up the fermentation process.
5. Cover the compost with straw or dry leaves to help keep moisture and heat inside the mound.
6. Controlling the temperature and ventilation inside the heap, and this can be done by stirring the compost from time to time using forks or wooden beaters, in order to improve ventilation and distribute heat evenly inside the heap. The temperature should preferably be between 49 and 77 degrees Celsius, and a thermometer can be used to measure the temperature.
7. Stir the compost regularly for a period of 3 to 6 weeks, until a mature organic fertilizer is obtained.
8. Transferring mature manure to a storage place for use in agriculture as an organic fertilizer.
It should be noted that the fermentation of animal manure requires some efforts and skills to ensure that the fermentation process takes place properly and effectively, and to ensure the quality of the resulting manure. It is also advised to avoid using the resulting compost before making sure of its maturity and quality, as the use of improperly mature compost can cause harm to plants and the environment.
