alright campervanners. Anyone else reading the news and feeling powerless to help. Well here’s a couple of charities that are worthwhile donating to. Either click the link or just Google the charity name and donate summat, even if it’s only a couple of quid it’s gotta be better than nowt right?

dec.org.uk Donate to this charity and the UK government will match your donation. So you can get the government to send some of that fuel tax that you're currently having to pay to the Ukraine, hows that for Karma! DEC is made up from 15 humanitarian charities including the Red cross and save the children

I've created bitly links as the web address was too long, obviously there is nothing in it for me other than not feeling totally helpless. I was just a bit bored so I caved in to temptation and bought myself a pair of DJI goggles. Far exceeded my expectations, my last experience of FPV was a few years ago with some Fatshark goggles, Oh my godness these are a different thing entirely

Thanks so much for showing the gopro view inside the headset.
That was a great review, thanks very much 👍🏻
Got to 3 mins into this video and..... *mind blown* !! Thanks for showing how to fit an ipad mini 2 to the controller. Just got my MPP and didn't want to force the ipad in so resigned myself to having to use my crap Samsung android phone. You my friend, deserve a medal!
I'll watch the rest of the video now hahaha
samsung is not crap!! #samsunggang
Loved the intro shots, very dynamic.
How did you got those shots at the beggining? ( I mean i know that flying super low is how... ) but you seem to be very low, and im scared AF to make the same and crash my drone full speed into the ground!
you've got some balls of steel!
great shoots!
Alan Reta the mavic is pretty good at maintaining altitude so you just have to make sure your flying over somewhere flat
Rutland Water!
shows really how delicate the cam is on the pro fun upload tho thank you
That's not as bad as my crash. A phantom 3 standard went to go and play in a bull pen and got worn as an ankle bracelet. A new camera was needed and the plastic is cracked is a few places but she's still going. Shame the SD card was lost to the septic tank though...
you must be the only person in history to crash and retain the drone and loose an SD card
Karl Beadle I know. The drone factory in Belfast fixed it up but I had to use toothbrushes and toothpicks to take the slurry off it. The camera was 120 and it took them under an hour so there was no labor costs from them so I got off lightly- apart from nearly getting killed in the process
Hi great video thank you. I've been humming and arrring about getting these googles and now having watched your video I shall be ordering tomorrow. I've watched a few over videos and just wasn't convinced either by the commentator or by the fact it didn't seem to translate as a 'real unbias review'. Thanks again I will be subscribing.
thanks
Very interesting video!! You have a new subscriber!!
I’m going to Antarctica soon should I get Mavic pro platinum or air? If you answer I’ll sub
Rainbow Six Siege Master depends on your budget but there's a lot to be said for longer flight times
Subbed
Thanks for the comment
subbed
BAd spelling
Those cinematic shots at the start were awesome!
thanks, not exactly Team BlackSheep terrain but you've gotta work with what you've got ;)
If you’re not crashing,
You’re not flying hard enough...!
Can we see the video feed from smartphone and dji google at the same time when flying? Thank you
Yes, you can
Were you in sports mode. What happened to the avoidance sensors.
yes, I turn those off, they're more trouble than they're worth
I recently got my mavic and im learning how to fly it. Could you elaborate on why they're trouble??
You needed another drone to film the crash. 😀 Unlucky to land in water.
I was just pleased to find it. I kept having to arm the motors so I could hear it rustling in the reeds. The bloody water was freezing too!
And a year later? Any update or new ways you found to use them?
Very helpful video Karl! i've been wondering about the DJI goggles!! 😁
6:48 guess you can’t fly it in the rain
Great work keep it up just subbed & liked
Brilliant, enjoyed your commentary
Awesome Vid Karl. I just picked up a set of goggles to use with my mavic air. I will be getting a mavic pro when the price drops as they roll out the mavic 2 pro. I so look forward to using ocusync and enjoying a long distance flight with the goggles. Keep flying and filming Karl.
should be some good second hand bargains when they bring out the mavic 2
Been thinking of picking up a pair of these, mainly because I wanted to be able to pan the camera and framing the shot using the head tracking to control the gimball, while flying the drone with the remote. From this demo it seems the head tracking mode introduces a fair amount of wobble into the shot and not smooth transitions? Is that the case? Is it a setting issue? If it's unavoidable I might reconsider. Thanks for the vid, great shots in the opening sequence!
you can slow the pan down in the settings but I haven't tried it and I'm not sure how useful it would be for cinematography. However if you need to get close to your subject its very useful
Great video, thanks for the info! I was intrigued to see you change your own camera. Will DJI sell parts to anyone? Do you know how much you saved by doing it yourself? Thanks again for posting!
I don't know what DJI charge for it and yes anyone can buy DJI parts
Muito bom
super review! thank You.
Great video :)
Amazing video!
Hi Hai thanks
😱😱😱
Like you're style of video ,sub
thanks and welcome. I have quite an eclectic mix of videos
can you tell me the realistic range of the mavic, and how does is perform when out of line of sight cause my p3s sucks and i want really good range on my next drone ..cheers
I've only ever gone about a mile and half away and its been fine
i better go spend that grand then heh
I have made a round trip to a point 2.5 miles away. Never had any issues but it was basically line of site on the prairie I live on. Mavic does ok in trees and such out to a mile maybe but if you want to fly behind hard terrain I think all will struggle. I can get transmission issues within 1/4 mile if I drop behind a hill. Good luck.
yeh image speeded up, Framerate is choppy.
Acid Shot nope this is as shot
