- Doordash in a town with $3 Peak Pay 34/7, but was it actually worth it as a doordash driver ? In this doordash challenge, I’m heading to a town called Newport, Pennsylvania to see if this daily peak pay actually is beneficial for my doordash income.
Welcome to day 2 of doordashing 10 zones in 10 days where I’ll be doing doordash delivery in 10 different towns across Pennsylvania and doing different Doordash challenges and doordash ride along type content. I hope you all have enjoyed so far…

The reason it has peak pay so much is because it’s so small that it has no dashers so when there is a a few orders the app thinks it’s “busy” because they’re just sitting there stacking up

We have a similar little coastal town with 24/7 $3 peak pay and have contemplated going there to dash… guessing it might be similar! 🤣 Thanks for trying it out’

Literally like an hour away from me and everytime i see it I'm like I should go there but then my mom is like is very rural so it would take longer for orders which is why they probably always have the peak pay. Come to Harrisburg tho bro would love to see you!

I live in one of the border town on the NH, ME and MA borders and there are some towns up in the new hampshire mountains that always have peak pay just like this but the towns are so small I cant imagine them being busy unless you go during peak hiking season.
Also signed a offer for a new w-2 today so no more being tonys personal clown. Back to the weekend only grind for me!

@@traveljb Yeah, pay is a bit lower than what I wanted but still higher than my last w-2 and I think the work experience will be valuable for my future career prospects. Seems like pretty chill work overall, and it sounds like in the long term they will transition the role to hybrid, which would be ideal for me.
That beach reminds me of the ending of Death Stranding where you're trapped and can't escape. lol

I have a zone close(ish) to me too like this. They always say it’s very busy with $5 peak pay, but very busy would mean one order. Every time I go there it’s mysteriously gray…
I feel like it’s always zones like way out there where they don’t have dashers and they lure you in to pick that one order up and then boom it’s done
I work in Lancaster Pa area. I always saw that spot being peak pay I’m so glad I didn’t drive over there lol

Yeah I definitely think that 24/7 $3 Peak Pay for the Newport zone is because there’s literally no orders in that area all the time lol. I have similar areas like Paw Paw, WV, and Moorefield, WV that have like a few restaurants and that’s it. Paw Paw doesn’t even have name brand stores in that small ass town lol. And considering how much gas is in PA (I work in Greencastle, PA so I see the ridiculousness 5 days a week) I commend you for doing these DoorDash challenges. You should definitely try Dashing in Baltimore or downtown Philadelphia for a video since they’re not too far from you.

There's a zone like this about an hour from me but it does seem to be busy a lot... granted that could mean there are 2 orders and no drivers lol... might try it out some saturday when im not busy
Yeah because this zone always shows that it’s busy but it wasn’t, but it’s definitely worth a try! I’d love to hear how it goes

It’s definitely an old town, not sure many people there use doordash since the town is so small

there's a market like this around me, almost always in bonus. we know there is one lady that dashes there, we figure it goes bonus when she's not around. can't imagine it can support much more than 1-2 drivers, tiny town. i'm paranoid about serving it because cell can be spotty.
I feel like there’s gotta be a zone like this near everybody, definitely feels like a scam, you might get like 1 or 2 orders

My area use to have 3 dollar peak pay everyday all day long. I loved it, then they lowered in to 1 dollar peak pay everyday all day long when we got earn by time so that earn by time could have a 2 dollar peak pay everyday all day long.
Do you still get a lot of orders with the $1 peak pay everyday?
@@traveljb honestly the last few months I have just been doing earn by time. Currently I am not seeing a lot of orders because my completion rate fell to 94% because my app kept glitching out where doordash would take my orders away from me after I hit accept. I got it back up to 96% then a customer canceled an order on me because they didn’t like I accepted an add on. So now it’s 95% again. But before the glitches I was still seeing orders regularly.
Now since you're in PA, is Williamsport good for the little league world series for dashers?
There are two zones with 3.00 peak pay 24 hours a day within 45 minutes of me. One is nw the other sw. They are rarely lit up red so you can never dash now, but the schedule is always completely open so I scheduled 3 hours at the sw one one time to try it out. I got one Hungry Howie's order in that 3 hours.
I feel like these zones with the $3 peak pay consistently is just to lure dashers in and then give them maybe one offer at most

24/7 peak pay in Pennsylvania and most zones means there are so few restaurants and so few people ordering that they need a dasher there cause everyone is doing it elsewhere.

Those small towns have the peak pay cause there are no orders. I used to dash in a town like that and you might get 5 orders in a 9 hr day lol
I chased five dollar constant peak pay once about 50 mi and got two delivery in like 4 hours
Yeah peak pay like 90% of the time sucks in my opinion, unless it’s like a really busy dinner rush

If usually takes me anywhere from 4-8 hours to edit depending on the video length. I use the splice app on my phone and that’s where I get the music and then for stock images and gifs I just go on google images
I don’t use a bag. That feels like work putting it in and out.
I know this is a bit off topic, but have any of u other dashers been getting bombarded with double order offers these last 3-4 days? I normally get those type of offers maybe once a week, but these past few days I’ve been getting them like 3 times a day.
Yeah I usually get about 2 a day but yeah they haven’t been the best offers lately

I figured if it has 24 seven, 365 peak pay of three dollars, they had to be a reason. I figured that they didn’t have enough drivers so people don’t order there. Which ever way chicken or the egg whatever happened first. 😂
