Your information is incorrect Dattaram was assistant Music Director for Shankar Jailishan. Gave music to many iconic movies such as Parvarish.

LKPL were main rival of Pancham Da at times, very cunning, professional and self centered duo, even though they were assistants to Dada SD Burman for sometime but they snarched many films from Pancham Da's kitty and managed to get favours from FILMFARE by sidelnining well deserved Pancham Da.
I don't like LKPL style of music..
