- As expected, Beryl has become the 1st hurricane of the 2024 Atlantic Season. The storm is on track to become a major hurricane as it approaches Barbados, St. Vincent, and the Windward Islands. Hurricane watches and warnings are in effect.

Models still seem unable to account for high altitude winds helping the storm vent. Really curious how rapidly Beryl will intensify once its eye opens.
