Fun fact, the Iron Man comics were selling very poorly before the 1st Iron Man movie came out. The whole character (even in the comics) was completely redesigned to copy the character RDJ came up with . . . which is probably a character he based on himself, so - yep.

He finished off the collection with a Patek Philippe Nautilus Ref. 5712/1A-001, and I couldn't help but notice that the approximate price was $33,200. I know this was back in 2016, but that watch is worth an insane amount more today. It typically sells for around $240,000! Honestly a beautiful piece, and one of my favorite watches of all time.
And he trashed his wife and Seiko in the same sentence. He seems to be a smug materialistic prick who should be happy he never overdosed on all his coke, misserable little manlet in lift shoes.

I can't believe people still don't know how RDJ acts. Of course he knows exactly what he pulled out. Any man with his status and his age that has an ounce of class is an environment surrounded with bespoke clothing and Swiss watches just as they are with wine and vintage/exotic cars. All 3 are both hobbies as well as investments. Given the kind of money he's made over his career, this is probably not even a tenth of his collection.

@@joep6706 Seiko is about quality watches which doesn't necessarily have to cost as much as a Swiss, although the quality is the same or even better in some cases. Any proper watch collector knows that. If in doubt, why dont you ask @rjkama on instagram about it :)
Nothing wrong with Seiko, but they're hardly "the backbone of a decent watch collection". Most significant watch collections don't include Japanese watches, and for good reasons: the Japanese don't have a long history of watchmaking, brands like Seiko sell cheap watches in base metal cases (hardly the situation with most Swiss makers), and they aren't considered innovators or standard-bearers. Finally, they lack that intangible and evocative quality that certain makers and/or models have, such as TAG Heuer's "Le Mans", the IWC Mk. series of military watches, Breitling's pilot watches, the Rolex "bubble-back", the J-LC "Reverso", or pretty much a minimalist Breguet, has.
