You cant believe it when you are told I am sorry . sorry sinks in. Our precious son and grandson is gone forever. My heart aches for Melissa.
I remember watching her perform the Janis Joplin song... i sat there will no hair going thru the same thing .... cried like a baby. But she was strong and beautiful and resilient... and we BOTH beat it. Life is hard and imperfect but we do the best we can... and just keep moving forward!

Ohh I loved Melissa Etheridge's first album the most back when she was an "angry lesbian" I really loved the aggressiveness of it and the fact that it could be interpreted for any relationship. I've seen her twice with my best friend in Vermont; super good times. My hubby never really liked her though; we have almost opposite tastes in tunes. I think she's amazing.

For years, my favorite song by M.E. was “Lucky.” But recently, I’ve been exploring her other albums and discovering how much I really like her house-rocking, real rock and roll songs. I never knew that her life’s story included surviving cancer and losing a child. Terribly sad. What a strong woman she must be.
