Both of the looks you created were stunning! I do think at the end of the day we're paying for the LE name and that the formula isn't 100% revolutionary. But I do like how Lisa curates her collections and the stories she tells - it makes the makeup feel it's been created with a lot of thought and care. I'm very curious how you feel about the other palette you ordered since it seems like Sorcery is the most sparkly/impactful palette of the 5.

Hi Kara. Thanks for the teal real with the review. I have been a fan of Lisa Eldridge for the last 2 years. I have brought her products with no regrets, but girl….I have seen several reviews and I think her eyeshadows are too pricey. Second critique, some of her eyeshadow palattes and lipsticks are sold out. The Sorcery palatte sold out during the first week of the launch. She will not be restocking this year. I contacted her company and there will be no restocks. I love the palatte.
We have professional development days Monday and Tuesdays but the kids have the whole week off. So we get to catch up on grading and clean up the lab! Yay!
I could rant about how there aren't empty palettes for me to customize and I can't afford 3 palettes to get all the shades I want or buying them individually ... but I think she and we all know the tea by now. My dupes for Madrigal/Sorcery are Pat's Gigabyte mixed with green shadows like melt gemini or elf hot jalapeño. I have neutrals I can pair with them too like Natasha's Glam so my itch is scratched. Now, will Pat see how successful these are and dupe the vibes finally? Her obsession with Bridgerton is cute but her and Lisa are the show in real life... let's live that fantasy.

I cannot believe I waited sooo long to try this fabulous brand! I'm on the lookout for more curated palettes and also for Sorcery lipstick to get restocked!
Guys I got myth and sorcery. Trust me you do not need these. Especially if you have any indie shadows. You will be disappointed Especially if you are deeper than I am. Sorcery is the best out of the lot but still not worth $68 . Enchantment looks terrible on me but I could see it being beautiful on lighter tones.
I can imagine fans of small indie brands being disappointed. Lisa’s look generally isn’t on the striking or sparkly side (e.g. her liquid shadows). I think I’m going to get more use out of Lisa’s eyeshadows as I mainly wear makeup at work and need to be a bit understated. I only bought the Duchess lipstick and liner. The others were definitely too light for me, and Velvet Sorcery looks too plum/rose toned.
From what I understood is that Indie brands tend to be super pigmented right off the bat while LE shadows are really buildable even if you use all 6 shades from the palette. I buy Indie eyeshadow and don’t end up using them so I’m hoping I will do better with these
@@teacheschem I agree the formulas are more like Tom Ford or Charlotte Tilbury. Lisa's does seem interesting because there's different textures. I think as long as people are ok paying $ 68 for six shades that aren't unique and also muted then it's fine. I just feel like you can pay that for an Anastasia or Natasha Denona if you want every day looks. Especially if people are looking to buy Muse or Cinnabar.
I’m Pat McGrath 17 or 18 and Lisa Eldridge 23 in summer and 18 in winter. That red duchess looks really good on me (but not quite as good as velvet Jazz) - I think it would look nice on you too!

Found her in UA-cam and her Marilyn Monroe tutorial, absolutely stunning , I never wear falsies so if I ever want my lashes to look super long, I that trick she showed, appt grey eyeshadow ( for my skin tone) along the bottom lashes and focusing on the outer corners. 😂

...the pat McGrath palettes are plastic with metal in it. Mine broke a while ago and without the metal sheets in it is just as cheap as ColourPop 🙁
