I can imagine the hype of seeing this trailer in theaters and being a comic book fan. Even more so being a Spider-Man fan in general. Such a great movie, I’m glad I grew up watching it.
This movie was groundbreaking. Effects like this was never achieved before. While this may have not been the first comic book adaptation, this really started the Superhero movie craze. What was great about it was that it had a balanced story. Plus I remember seeing the swinging scenes in the theater for the first time, feeling that we were all leaping in the air with him
... You know, I've never seen the trailer of the first Spiderman movie, but holy hell, this is epic. It builds up enough hype by showing key moments in the movie, yet still kept you in the dark for those who didn't know the comic book Spiderman. Utterly epic.
it kinda does spoil a lot of moments in the movie. it shows how Spiderman got his powers and the exact moments, and who the Green Goblin is and how he also got his powers. it basically goes in chronological order of events
I’ll never forget rewatching this trailer 100x on a dvd i had. Seeing this movie in theaters is still one of the highlights of my life. Sure it may sound stupid lol but i always go back to that day and it puts a smile on my face.
Glad to be a part of the generation that grew up watching this epic movie in their childhood.... literally influenced so many young adults of today's generation!
Back in 2002 you could only watch this trailer was on theaters I think. I remember going to movie theaters before Spiderman released and I always hoped they would play the trailer again lol
This trailer reveals so much of the movie interestingly enough because of how fast it goes through scenes. You still do not really no the order of everything, and the best part is that it does not spoil anything too important or any major points, besides Peter becoming spider man and Osborne becoming the green goblin and that just adds to the hype (and these were very well known the comics I'd assume.)
This movie already came out in 2002. Its not coming in 2022. You can stream it and its 2 sequel (I don't recommend the 3rd movie) on netflix or disney+ depending on your country
@@jhonny3christian, I am going from the perspective of someone who has not seen it. I bet a good percentage of people have seen all the movies already, me included.
The Sam Raimi series was a masterpiece. These movies were my childhood. For me, Marvel was only Spider Man. It was so simple yet amazing: No high end Cgi or gadgets, just a Peter Parker with a classic suit who got all his powers from a spider. I loved the perfect casting and no one can replace it for me. It's still sad that where I hoped to see how things continue after Spider Man 3, it was eventually the last but, at the same time I'm glad we got to experience it.
20 years ago how time flies. When this movie came out everyone was blown and is one of the best superhero movies out there. You can thank Blade movies which saved Marvel from the brink of death. Too bad though they sold the rights to Sony but it is what it is.
i’ve forgotten a lot of things from my childhood but the one thing that i remember vividly is anything spiderman. i remember each halloween ive dressed up as him, the drive in theaters ive went to, to watch, the rainy days when my father asked “what movie do u wanna watch” and me, picking spiderman 2 all the time. raimi’s spider-man will always be the spiderman

What kind of spider exactly bite Peter that turned him into Spider-Man? That spider had a circle shaped web he must of been an orb spider those are the most well known spider the little guy must of been exposed to radiation by scientists and he escaped and bite better I am surprised Peter is not afraid of spiders though.
How trailers have changed, there’s a ton of energy in this which somehow captures the same feel of that time period when cinematic franchises were being built from the ground up.
This entire trilogy has made my entire childhood. I cannot begin to describe to you the feeling of this era and the emotion as a child watching Tobey swing around and go through hard times. These films will forever be a part of who I am until my last day on earth.

@saggy3602 I'll take some blame. I may have overhyped it when I was a kid. Plus, the film was going for a more classic Spider-Man (Dikto/Lee). I was more used to 90s Spider-Man comics and the show at that time influenced my perception of the character.

Watching this, 2 and 3, Hulk and few other Marvel (not MCU) movies in cinema was my great experience as a kid... Spider-Man 2 is a masterpiece.
