    Just noticed the Mississippi County on the deputy sheriff patrol door, not too far from my fire department. I volunteer in a department west of side of Cross County.

      I could, I haven't checked with my department on something like that. I'd have to get a camera that would be able to withstand the heat.

      @@allthingsfire1509 gopros are totally fine to go in with fires that's what everybody else usually uses anyway if you look at the other firefighters who already put videos up the little black square ones I probably the best because you don't need a waterproof case for them and for your department they should allow you to do it anyway because other departments do a bit strange if you weren't allowed to obviously you blur out stuff what you shouldn't be showing on UA-cam but I don't think that your fire department would have a problem with it considering it's your first amendment right to film

      An accident had happened right before the call came in which confused me, which is why I turned my siren off, thinking it was the scene, but it was actually an accident that just happened.

      If you listen closely to the radio dialogue, our dispatch advised me that Unit #8 was already on the scene, and that they just needed assistance. And when I am paged out, an apparatus is already dispatched by the full time guys. I am just a part-paid firefighter. Which means I go directly to the scene in my POV. Thanks for watching!

      Yes, that is what it usually means, I don't know his exact department set up, but it sounds like what my old department had. We didn't respond directly to the sence POV, and we didn't get lights and sirens on our personal rigs either, sadly.

    So you go POV to a brush fire? What happens if you get there first? Do you have a water tank on your POV to fight the fire with? I'll never understand why volunteers do certain things.

    • @allenampueda447
      @allenampueda447 3 роки тому +1

      If you get there first you scope the size of the fire and radio the information over so they can bring what you need. At the same time you you could be getting your gear on while on scene. That is what I do personally when I go to a fire in my POV and I am the first one to arrive.

    • @dozerplays3963

      I see nothing wrong with that, he did not know the size of the fire and what the fire was doing upfront. I floor the gas for all emergencies. There aren't big emergencies or little emergencies.
