I went to a ladies conference in Tioga, La & saw this lady speak & others. I had just received the Holy Ghost & desperately wanted to stop smoking cigarettes. I was so hooked ! After the third day at altar call, God delivered me from smoking. I have not picked one up in 15 years!

I've loved sister Mangun for many years, I used to listen to audio tapes of her preaching as a fairly new Christian, here in New Zealand. She has been somewhat of an inspiration to me. I praise God for her commitment to Jesus and to her ministry of prayer and exhorting the people of God.

Bible says for a women to keep silence in the church. You people need to read your bible. God at no time ever called a women to preach. Paul said he wouldn't suffer one to teach. You UPC people have lost your holiness. Stand ye in the ways and ask for the old paths, where is the good way and walk there in, but they said we will not walk there in. You have stopped preaching sin. You won't name the sins for fear of losing people. God is not coming back for any organization. God said be holy. Repent before its too late. Look up "truth of God broadcast" on UA-cam.
Tim Anderson Study the scripture you are talking about Tim. It was a correction to that church specifically, not the church at large. There were many women preachers and teachers in ministry. Read the last chapter of Romans for a who Paul thanked and what he thanked them for. Women in Corinth (besides other horrible things) would interrupt the minister whenever they would preach. So he asked them to be silent in the church. It was a correction to the church at Corinth and not the church at large. Study the Word of God and gain a complete understanding before casting judgment and dispersions.

The Greek word used is simply to minister, it does not mean deacon, that's false.... God's word is not hard to understand, a women is under a man and a man is under Jesus Christ.... The UPC is falling away just as the bible said would happen in the last days!!

Moses Reza You don't understand the scripture you are referring to. Often misunderstood because no one understands the cultural influence the church at Corinth and Ephesus. Women were interrupting the minister and interjecting constantly. So Paul gave the correction that women should be silent but it's only in situations where they are usurping the power from the man. Study the Word of God. It doesn't muzzle the ox that treads the corn, it sets people free.

my folks had written me off i did wrong but God meant it for good.
i met sis. vesta last year after praying thru at pastor jerry dean's church in bossier city.
i had to meet her and tell her how God found my mother and 4 little boys living behind the late bill dean's church in killeen texas. i was in sis dean's sunday school class at 7 years old. jerry dean used to pick us up for sunday school.
it took a long time to come back to God. i give this little old lady a lot credit for inspiring me to get desperate and pray thru.

I was so caught up in the fact that I wasn't married, have no children, no home,no big job with my degree. I cry night n day but I realize that there are more to life than those. For all of the women preachers haters you have twisted the scriptures to justify what you want to believe . The Bible says for the woman to keep silent in church , but to ask her husband anything when she gets home . That was clearly not talking about her preaching or teaching , but was talking about her interrupting the service by asking her husband questions about something being said or done during the service .

Thank you for e-posting the Atlanta West Pentecostal and Pentecostals of Alexandria praise break video episodes! I believe the first day of each week we assemble to lift up the vibrant praise, worship, prayer or intercession, meditation, deliverance and word ministration. What I would love to see is to call upon all the brothers and sisters-in-Messiah both Messianic Jewish and Messianic Westernized believers of color and who are deaf and hard of hearing like me with ASL church interpreters come together and worship together in spite of the vast difference in the order of service in our respective houses of worship. Why not call for the American Feast of Tabernacles weeklong worship and fellowship in the next fall? Why are we apparently separated in accordance with the racial cliche, corporate prestige, denominational differentiation and/or special needs accommodation and preferential separation of worship? Can we see what Yeshua prays for in the New Testament Gospel of John Seventeenth Chapter? Prayer of unity, prayer of compassion and prayer of spiritual understanding and agreement is what I am looking for. I have been studying the Word of God and referencing to the bible guide book called Nelson's Illustrated Bible Dictionary as well as receiving some (I mean to say few) inspiring newsletters both manually and online from the American Christian organizations to browse. Isn't America the beloved Judeo-Christian country or else? I am not the ordained minister but have a great desire to serve my Master in any way as possible. Shalom and stay blessed!

You are talking about 1 Timothy 2:12. At the time Paul is writing that to Timothy women had only recently be allowed to learn, so it made sense to tell them not to try to get ahead of themselves for fear they would teach/preach the wrong things. They first had to learn and subject themselves to the teachings of the men, who had been allowed to study since "forever". But even he prophecied that women would eventually hold another status if you read the last verse of that chapter (v15). Today, women and men both have the same access to learning the Bible so quoting that scripture today is irrelevant.
Read Joel 2: 28-29 , we are leaving in the last days and God is pouring His Spirit on both men and women! Hope this helped :)

If we follow your logic does verse 35 mean all women are married?? Since Paul says they should ask questions to their husbands at home?
Of course not! Here he is giving a specific command to ONE specific church, the church of Corinth, because of confusion that was happening there.
If he meant for ALL women to be silent in churches (or not preach) why would he ask those same women to cover their heads when they pray or prophesy in 1 Corinthians 11:5?? 3 chapters before the one you quoted!
Anyone who's Holy Ghost filled is called to preach, that's one of the primary reasons for receiving the Holy Ghost.
