the problem is that all the entry level jobs require a ton of experience.. i went to school for web development i can do a lot of programming such (plus networking), and i was class rep and graduated with honors.. I have had 1 interview since i graduated a year ago. I’m still stuck working retail.

How did you transition to start in the job, like to go into QA coordinator at the bank? Did you take any courses or anything, and do you just contact the bank for an interview regarding the job position? Where did you study about it or research before you got into the bank position, or does it require like absolutely no experience at all? If you or anyone could answer my questions above that would be greatly appriciated. Thank you!
I actually did a boot camp gor software qa and one of the recommendations from the top people in this organization was not include your current or previous jobs and only the internship project experience if it overlapped each other as thats the only thing recruiters and hiring managers look for thats relatable. But I've had no job offers since then. Seems I should touch base with my career coach about

My program includes an introduction to automation which the career coach advised me to do in the meantime to add to my resume once I complete to make things easier with the job search since most jobs I've come across require some knowledge and/or experience with automation aside from manual qa skills. Though she did mention job market is getting more competitive as she gave an example of a previous student who just landed a job after almost a year of job searching.
Just curious, what is the lowest entry for a QA by title? Would it be Manual QA? Or is it QA Tester? I do have some programming skills and Soft skills. But trying to learn the differences in titles. Thank's Lily great video.
I have been studying to become an Android developer but I know it's going to take a while and I hate my job. I'm trying to decide if I should go for QA first and use my coding skills to do automation testing or if should stay at my current job and keep studying Android dev. If I worked in QA I would still work towards it on the side because that's my ultimate goal but my current job sucks and I dread going to work every day.
100% a lot of QA jobs and other jobs just look for transferable skills. You might not get a top position but it’s definitely a good background to start with

Hello Lily Santana, I have a question: What if your soft skills on a resume on have things like Grocery stocker, Janitorial, Warehousing that focused on some attention to detail and a little bit of google spreadsheets? I wouldn't necessarily say that my job was quality control but I did online web orders at a warehouse that did involve attention to detail. would any of this be useful in the field as a beginner for software product tester ? I don't have any experience I do have a few non related degrees and I an currently taking a course on foundations of software product tester through Coursera (the free version). Just wondering if any this would help me get a step closer towards this field? Thanks!

I think you should make personal projects to showcase. Try to get internships to show experience and to gain experience.
Im working in TOSCA and everyone thinks i wanna be a developer but i hate coding and Tosca has no code i love it
What do you actually do most of the day? I thought a QA tester developed tests to find bugs in software? How do you do that without coding skills?

From other videos even basic Udemy course & transferring your soft skills. Gotta start with entry level Tester role
