You conveniently leave out his rookie year, during which he sat the bench behind Alex Smith. That counts, especially given that he saw game-action during the season.
He has 7 seasons (8 if you count his redshirt year at Tech. He had to have been a redshirt junior if he played only two years. Doesn’t the NFL require that a player is three years removed from HS to enter the draft?
If true...nice try. But he has had 8 years. During your redshirt year you practice and scrimmage. That’s football.

This is an excellent “behind the scenes” breakdown of that play. As a Chiefs fan, it shows me just how TRULY amazing this team is. It’s absolutely a team effort.
One of the best plays I have seen in my life! He literally couldn’t step in to his throw! Waited 29 years for this and it’s great! Mahomes is the truth!
Yup. Most other QBs could not have thrown the ball that far without stepping into the throw. The dude has a CANNON-sized arm. Crazy accuracy on top of that as well.

Mike Klein it was the turning point! Cause I am a chiefs fan? Bruh the changes the game, you must not know football stick to foosball!
Skabanis Malaka there was all kind of holds! Get over it, it’s done!
It was the turning point but that throw was hanging in the air forever hill waited for it like a punt return. Ed reed or any great safety picks that off with no problem. Still the difference in the game since my niners don’t have a great safety ha and why u blitz there
This Turning Point still gives me chills. Fantastic short pic from NFL Films...
Released the ball flat footed and still flew 57 air yards while wobbling. Crazy strength, accuracy, and timing.

As a Chiefs fan, what I love about Pat is that he came to the sideline after the TD and immediately went down the line to his defense. "Let's go get it." He's a team guy. I'm glad he's our QB.
