Wow, I am blown away. The fact that a Chagrin Falls boy can scrap his way out of poverty all the way to Studio G has entirely changed my perspective on capitalism and America. Anyone can be anything they want, and Geoff IS Studio G-at heart. #inspirational
This podcast reminds me of the hydraulic press channel. But instead of a deck of cards flying apart under 1000 psi, it's Geoffrey James buckling under the rather modest demands of being a recurring podcast host.
There's a particular look of side-eye squint and smirk of Anya being amused by Geoff's bullshit despite herself that always tickles me. Always a treat to see her on, and she and the team did a great job on the new studios!
Genuine Note for Moving Forward: I think if Geoff wasn't behind the production desk and wasn't in control of the soundboard it could add a lovely new dynamic. If the new soundboard engineer and Geoff had already roughly planned through the episode to give a sense of what comedic beats to hit, when to move, when to let silence hang - just overall a 2nd Geoff if you will, that can completely focus on the live editing/soundboard/etc Geoff not knowing when beats are going to come on would add a different dimension to my mind, i.e the "lets move on gag" - if Geoff is actually surprised by the choice to move on at any given moment, yet still has to move on like it was always his intention.. I don't know if anyone would actually find this funny or if it would just logistically be too difficult, but with the right soundboard/production engineer (ideally outside of the established Headgum cast and production team) I think this could at least be worth a try for a one off episode.
I think geoffs hosting style wouldn’t be as effective if he wasn’t in control of the soundboard and the shows pacing Also, there’s no way headgum would pay a second person to host, they talk all the time about how this show is toeing the line of unprofitable
@@jonathanbauman2236 I know what you mean, but what I'm really getting at is almost like a TV show style chain of command - So Geoff being the 'Show Runner ', and having his say in every part of the production. The show wouldn't be the same if Geoff was just reacting to someone else's jokes. So, Geoff and person X have pre-production meetings to understand the tone of that particular episode, the games and how best hey might work, etc etc Bottom line, Geoff wouldn't be redundant because he is such a genuinely funny and talented person, that whether someone else is pressing the soundboard or not doesn't matter. Geoff is like an oven - he'll always bring the heat.
It feels like I am breaking character to admit this is my favourite podcast. Me and the sick fucks like me are the reason slash borderline to blame for this shit to exist. I am team Geoff forever and always and to be honest, frankly, I am sick of pretending I don't live/die for this this this chaos.
I have started and subsequently fallen off about 5 separate podcasts in the time that I’ve been sticking with this one. This poison makes me cackle with laughter 🫶
I’m so sorry that Anya has to hear constant criticism of the studios she worked so hard to design! That being said, I think cobalt could be a great color for the hallowed walls of Studio G
Geoff was 100% correct: Studio G(eoff) is a really nice upgrade. Thanks to Anya Zero for letting this MRSA-Man into this clean space, despite his ranting & raving about colors, palatable or what have you.
43:09 - the instruction to let Anya interrupt Geoff because "it will be worth it" was one of those most vindicating things I've ever heard. Should be plastered on the wall of Studio G-iardia.
Poem I bashed out: Promises are just potential lies I don't know when I'm telling the truth anymore. I think I used to, when I was a kid. I knew things then, and I think I knew myself then. But maybe I never did. And now, I spin through life and I don't care. I know I used to care though, I think that's what gets me. And I don't know if I will again
in fairness to Geoff (gross) he was the person to come up with Poetry or Nah in the first place. but because he's such a dunceass, he's forgotten that he invented it. Marika Anya and Amir were all on that episode and none of them seem to remember or bring it up at all
And this is just to fan the flames/fuel the fire, but I've never tuned into Segments. I only listen to the headgum podcast so I appreciated the explenation of the rules for each of these Dregments.

Loved the ad
Studio G? More like Studio Sheeeeeeeeee
Edit: Six minutes in and Geoff has created chasms and rifts between people. Continental or otherwise.
The arguing over inspirational music should be a new thing Geoff continues
I miss the awkward ticking clock
Wow, I am blown away. The fact that a Chagrin Falls boy can scrap his way out of poverty all the way to Studio G has entirely changed my perspective on capitalism and America. Anyone can be anything they want, and Geoff IS Studio G-at heart. #inspirational
Hi Geoff
Sugar n’ Falls ***
Studio G-sus
Anya's druthers is the best part of this or any podcast. Geoff is, himself, an "off brown," vis a vis wall color.
The Dregments song is the best thing to come out of this podcast in, well, forever.
Monshi rules, I've always said this

This was the most insane heated start to a headgum pod ever hahahhaha
I hate to come to Geoff's defense, but nearly all wasabi in America actually IS horse radish.
Jake always reaches a boiling point in every ep he's in, and watching him go in on Geoff's thin lil ankles gets me everytime.
I could watch Jake, Amir, and Geoff riff for hours
Shockingly, Geoff was right about the horseradish/wasabi. Most sushi restaurants just use horseradish dyed green instead of wasabi
Anya (goes from) Zero (to 100 real quick, understandably)
Anya Zero? Nah. Anya One Hundred
Took me a second lol, thought the brackets were there by mistake but fantastic comment x
Geoff is so chaotic. He should be in NADDPOD. I would love to see Murph reacting to Geoff’s chaotic energy
I think it would be hilarious to have the Naddpod hosts on the Headgum Podcast-I can’t even imagine what the Geoff/Emily interaction would look like
@@karmaheaven7that would be hilarious lmao Emily may match Geoff’s energy
Always absolutely crushing to see someone you thought escaped this HellPod dragged back in.
Jake, Amir, Anya. The best line up ever.
Geoff is also here.
not sure why this needs to be in video form when the walls are clearly not cola
Studio G(eoff) has been breached; the perimeter is compromised and the sour man is inside. Remember to stay creamy my friends
Amir is the kindest guest to Geoff nowadays. That is to say: corporate on-air interpersonal audits WORK
Anya fuggin killed btw her druthers were incredible
Both Jake and Amir on the episode, Studio G, the Dregments format, all a recipe for Geoffrey's chaotic sanctuary
this episode was truly incredible, holy shit.
There's a particular look of side-eye squint and smirk of Anya being amused by Geoff's bullshit despite herself that always tickles me. Always a treat to see her on, and she and the team did a great job on the new studios!
Gotta say, love the energy the podcast starts with. Geoff sure knows how to host a podcast!
Best part of my week! Let’s go ❤
Kanevskaya's a god damn optical illusion of a woman. One moment I see Anya Zero, the next I swear they got Finn Wolfhard on the show
Geofediting
Congratulations Geoff, Dregments is up there with Geoffardy & Gash Cab, in the hall of fame.
Also I really liked your poem.
not poison enough
Can't even lie, the lighting in this studio is top notch. Honestly can't wait to hear a rice song in this environment.

no you are wrong
This makes it sound like Geoff would be easily made redundant...
I think geoffs hosting style wouldn’t be as effective if he wasn’t in control of the soundboard and the shows pacing

@@Sean-kn4un lol thankyou for that in depth response - maybe make it a little shorter next time

I am paralyzed from the neck down
Best episode yet
I love this podcast because it allows me to compartmentalize my anxiety into this browser window and work elsewhere

The dark walls make everyone more reflective like the furniture 10/10 nailed the sparkle.
33:16 You heard it here first, Geoff loves punching down
I’m so sorry that Anya has to hear constant criticism of the studios she worked so hard to design! That being said, I think cobalt could be a great color for the hallowed walls of Studio G
I think the studio looks awesome and fits the vibe of, at the very least, this podcast, on the day, perfectly.
Geoff doesn’t deserve a studio, whether it’s G, H, or apartment
I wonder if Amir’s divorce lawyer is helping him with post-nup clarity
Amir really bait and switched us with the promise to hear, and the betrayal of the lack of, a second showing of Ha'un sits
Great episode and loved the studio the second we saw it, very pretty!
Studio Geoff is coming in just-so. Not exactly chine green or a cola, but she’ll do.
The worst thing is that Geoff is right, for the most part, about horshradish and wasabi
studio looks beautiful!!
i think the new studios look nice :)
Geoff was 100% correct: Studio G(eoff) is a really nice upgrade. Thanks to Anya Zero for letting this MRSA-Man into this clean space, despite his ranting & raving about colors, palatable or what have you.
Geoff sold me Ozempic in the HG HQ parking lot
Go off, Anya! (In reference to the druthers rant)
A return to form. Great episode.
I fucking love geoff so much
Poesi is poetry in Swedish. Nice
studio jee is fine. also this cast is goated.
Honestly tho, bits aside….Studio looks very cool.
This is the only podcast I don’t skip the ad
One of the all time episodes! Dregments is a hit and Geoff is a Shel Silverstein of himself actually.
This is the best episode in at least a week or so
great, another week of misery ended with a near fatal dose of audio poison
EDIT: Studio G for Geoff? Welcome to the big leagues pal
9:21 "you _have_ a kid, you didn't invent them"
Geoff is whooping cough
43:09 - the instruction to let Anya interrupt Geoff because "it will be worth it" was one of those most vindicating things I've ever heard. Should be plastered on the wall of Studio G-iardia.
Nice of Jake and Amir to coordinate equal and opposite outfits
Poem I bashed out:

But maybe I never did. And now, I spin through life and I don't care.
I know I used to care though, I think that's what gets me. And I don't know if I will again
I hate when all 4 of my parents fight
Headphone price doesn’t make comfort or quality.
How am I just realizing Geoffrey grew up 10 minutes from me
Best druthers ever❤
I hate to admit it but this is a good episode
I like the charcoal walls tbh
That website actually exists and it is better designed than any website with that url deserves to be
More Anya's druthers please
when you think about it, Segments just copied The Headgum Podcast format and dropped Geoffardy
Marika was on!
oh my god Anya is so fucking beautiful
I am an editor and that paint should be chine
YOU FINALLY GOT OUT OF STUDIO HATE
Now Thats What I Call Overlapping Dialogue
in fairness to Geoff (gross) he was the person to come up with Poetry or Nah in the first place. but because he's such a dunceass, he's forgotten that he invented it. Marika Anya and Amir were all on that episode and none of them seem to remember or bring it up at all
Anya's right: G looks Good and H looks HNice!
I really really hate to say it, but Jake has thankles
Switch Marika and Geoff and this episode goes from bad to fine
I need Monshi on the pod...
40:05
A guest outside shivering is similar to the energy that Geoff gives. Cold, vibratory and unnecessary. Awful episode. 9/10
Geoff doing dregments really solidifies that the headgum podcast is segments from wish
Im really glad jake azked for commengs about geoff, i wouldng have oghetwize thought twice about him. I think hez alright
And this is just to fan the flames/fuel the fire, but I've never tuned into Segments. I only listen to the headgum podcast so I appreciated the explenation of the rules for each of these Dregments.
I’ll do lighting. Since amair nor jacke nor geoff can. Hmu 🤙
This is an all-time great episode, despite Geoff's
My grandma is 104... for real.
I don't understand. Why did Dregments illustrate how hard it is to make segments?
Headgum pod > dregments pod
Dregments > Segments
For real for real studio G is bland less designed and the red curtain is just not the move.
Def studio H has more character.
Yo I hate the walls its… gross to me
I can’t believe Jake ruined the poetry segment for this Monday!
Dregments is really close to Gregments. There should be a segment all about, well, me.
Is this the GOAT lineup???
Anya is bae she is queen she is mommy
Anya is so beautiful
Why not just paint it black? Everything?
Geoff trying to do a bad version of segments, as if every episode of the headgum podcast isn't such
