I was waiting for ages once, 3 lots of traffic came through from the opposite direction, the bus I was waiting behind had had enough and went through on red so I followed him!
Once, with a student i waited way longer than 3 minutes as there was a police car behind us. Eventually they went around us and lead the traffic through with blues on. Sometimes they can just be broken.

No mate that's rubbish there broke trust ne I've been there ages sometimes
Yeah not entirely true, if I disconnect a light from a set of my lights the others resort to going red. Not because I’ve set them to red.
