Keep up the good work bob, sorry to hear about your pup. Hope you end up finding that peace during the day without him. I know for me losing the routine was the hardest part of losing my dog once that shock wore off. Anyways missed you last week (I think maybe I just missed it) but I also understand SoD is kinda losing its allure. Happy to keep listening to you talk about it though. Hope to see you in game sometime now that we are on the same server.
As a fury warrior main in SoD I can sympathize with the intro! I didn't have too much trouble in SoD due to mainly doing guild runs however in tbc classic it was rough pugging as one! People just assume you'll be bad and then your top of the dps meter the entire run... lol. Unfortunately also agree with the vibes in SoD right now! I reaaaally hope for the game's sake and my own they introduce a new raid next phase. Hell just give us tbc karazan! Tried war within and just not for me so I'm dying for that hype as well! Might have to jump back in to FF7 part 2 and finally finish it off!
it's so funny that the faction with the class that can bubble out of any losing fight is so fragile about losing that they never do pvp. i have 3 palis at 60 and it's so embarrassing to be on this faction that wants to quit before trying. i personally find it more fun and engaging to have the odds stacked against me in a match but these people's constitutions can handle the end game screen showing an L instead of a W. i gotta work more on my hordeside characters lol
I dont know what happend in SoD but Phase 5 feels so soulless. And you can feel that the devs are putting the bare minimum amount of effort into the game. I dont know why I should heavily invest into the game when the devs treat SoD as a side project. I even doubt at this point we will get any new extra content.
I am with you, sod is the best version of wow killed by classic Andy's that can't compute some small changes. I might go back to playing retail or some other game, sod is dying hard. I can't play a version of wow that only has warriors in it ever again.
keep the bandwagon people out, they're miserable to be around and the people they come with are even worse. what tolerable people want in fresh is a chance to catch up without having to deal with all the random gatekeeping that comes with behind behind so what the devs have to focus on is dealing with the gatekeeping
Hate to say it bud, but I don't think gatekeeping is the problem, 100% of my friends quit this version of wow before or shortly after sunken temple was released and when I asked them about coming back, there is not a single one of my friends that has any interest in doing so. Gatekeeping may be a problem, but the dwindling player base and core concept of this seasonal server is the issue. It won't retain players and certainly won't attract new ones to come try it out with how it's currently laid out. No one wants to spend time in this world where they have no clue what their hours invested or toons invested in are going to end up being. Those of you that stuck with it, I'm happy for you, I hope it's fun and you get the experience you wanted but for the majority of us.. it missed the mark pretty badly. Let's hope that people can't gatekeep for much longer if that's the real problem here, because soon enough there won't be a population large enough to do so. Good luck in your adventures zianitori!
@@zStC1 i'm not talking about what;s stopping wow from becoming the most popular game of the month and i'm not even talking about sod specifically, please dont give a generic canned line to someone talking about a specific thing or it'll make it look like you dont know how to read
@@zStC1 but also talking about what made your friends leave and not come back would have actually no bearing on what's stopping sod from being "successful" or whatever, it's literally just a random anecdote. if not knowing where your characters on a seasonal server are going to end up after the season ends gives you a bad feeling than you shouldnt be playing a seasonal server lol, also idk why you'd care, you're not going to play them after classic plus comes out anyway. it sounds like you are one of the bandwagon people that i was talking about since you came by to play a seasonal server because it was the popular game at the time so i get now why you gave a reply that was seemingly unable to read the contents of what i said
@@zStC1 rethinking about how stupid this comment is. i just said "the devs should exclude bandwagon people and focus on dealing with gatekeeping so the game is more fun" and you just showed up with some canned line about how that's not going to get the bandwagon players to play it. i get that functionally the point of this kind of illiteracy is just to try and make noise at someone who disagrees with you because when a whole herd of people like you do it it lets people with different beliefs about the game know that they're not welcome in a space so i should really just have read your comment as random barking noises but i like pretending that the person i'm talking to has a modicum of self respect and wants to pretend they're a thinking individual instead of parroting the opinions of the social authorities of their space for security
I agree with everything you said about SoD and the classic community. Hope you continue to podcast for many years to come.
