- In 1973, Dave formed the band Pus, which was influenced by radical 1960s New York activist band, The Fugs. He gained a wider popularity with his next band, "From the Suburbs", which he formed in January 1977. The band gained an underground following and was subsequently signed by Mushroom Records.
Dave has continued to release music, however has diversified from writing and performing music full-time, and has started to write plays, novels and screenplays. The list of book and screenplays is exhaustive and can be found on his website:

His Uni gigs were fantastic. He used to play mext. To the tavern a WAIT. Great music cheap beer and a sweet smell in the air.

Ooh yes. Saw Dave Warner a couple of times in 1979, don't understand why the crowd is sitting on their bums. Must be going over their heads.

Saw them at the Armadale Hotel - just a suburban pub. Johnny Leopard cavorting in a Tarzan outfit. Great show. Saw The Cure at the same venue….. which is now a supermarket.
Saw him at Manning bar, Sydney Uni late 70s....best time ever!

Lots of good bands used to play at LaTrobe uni - Ramones, INXS, Oils, etc.

thanks for that info. the clapper board said La Trobe but that was not actually at the show so you could be right.
