No offense to whoever made it, but that was boring (Try make different fan video games for Valiant or Image Comics if you into) On bright side, i got an actual good comic book game from Insomniac Games' Spider-Man!

Yeah, I remember having this game on my Nintendo DS when it came out and loving the shit out of it at that time. For a DS game it was pretty badass, but as a console game... Not so much. Really cool to hear your take on it!
Since you start off by saying you never hear anybody talk about this game I'll just take a second to say I played this as a kid at a friend's house. It was really fun! Then many years later I bought the game myself and played it tons. It's one of the better 3D fighting games out there in my personal opinion, and the storyline, from what I can remember, was actually pretty cool.
I loved this game! Me and my dad used to play against each other on our PS2 back in the day. Spidey was awesome and I loved the special attacks and the story mode... good times...
pff wait till you see the DS version. The DS version you have to walk like your carrying a tea pot while balancing books on your head, and when you fight, it takes about 1 minute to get up while the other guy gets the beat on you. If you get knocked down your basically a corpse.
I absolutely adored this game back in the day. It was fun, the plot was well written for the most part, and I loved the music. Watching gameplay footage 10+ years later though..... this is fucking rough
Man I remember playing this. It was actually the first video game I ever played I know not much people might like it but it does hold a special place in my heart. I'm very grateful you did a review on it.
I've been having this problem recently where all I want to watch on UA-cam is Godzilla Mendoza but I can't fall asleep to his videos because they're too entertaining. So I end up staying to 2am on week days when I have to work. It's been difficult but worth it haha.
2:23 You should have used the "Where's your ears?" clip from the first FF movie. Great review. I remember renting this game and initially being wowed that Captain America and the Hulk died in at the start but by the Logan/Storm fight I got so frustrated upon learning the only way to win was to throw barrels that I quit.
2:08 Homecoming actually really shocked me, cause they made a movie about one of the most kid-friendly superheroes of all time and made it the most R-rated non R-rated Marvel movie in... forever!
It's a bit bland in some aspects (Supe's powers lacked a certain...oomph), but it was actually pretty well made (looked AMAZING, just like the show), it was fun, and got Superman's character PERFECTLY. The fighting wasn't all that good...but what TOTALLY worked was the levels where you had to avert catastrophes, save people, or even sneak around as Clark Kent. Also, it had a storyline penned by the show's writers that was actually canon and fit perfectly before Darkseid's introduction (Too bad Darkseid himself ends up being just the bad guy behind the scenes and isn't actually fought....but there was Metallo, voiced by Malcolm McDowell and all!). I'd say, if they implemented some (just some) mechanics from Superman Returns it would have been PERFECT, but it was a pretty good game as it was.
The Batman Arkham series and Injustice have entered the chat. Deadpool, the iron man Thor and captain America games have left the chat . Lmao both have had terrible games, Spider-Man and Marvel vs Capcom and Ultimate Alliance are really all marvel has itself 🤷🏿♂️
Ugghh, this game absolutely REEKS of early 2000’s, even worse than the Daredevil movie. Bad character looks, a need to feel “edgy”, everything looking too dark to see, and I bet the soundtrack is bad, too. Also, this game looks like it’s inspired by Jae Lee’s art style, which while good, is too different to fit onto new heroes.
DarkHero Gamer it's pretty fun even though it IS a really grungy/edgy looking game XD soundtrack I'll admit is.... pretty repetitive but it does have some good moments
This game was actually one of the best games I ever played in my childhood. I honestly wish they'd update it and release it with more characters and maybe with an open world feature to it. I loved the concept and freedom of it. It's always fun playing an open world fighting game with your favorite characters. If I still had the system or the game id play it today. I need this to re-release.
What's weird is that Marvel still owns the imperfects (even after EA's deal) but hasn't used them at all... kinda weird since they would've been a more edgy and interesting concept to make a show out of, instead of the knock off replacement of the X-Men; Inhumans lol

The Socially Inept Spider-Man had me dying, you'd be great as a voice actor. Also, this game is SO early 2000s and I simultaneously love and hate that.
It’s one of those games where it’s just so imperfect that it’s perfect. Although this game really doesn’t have much to offer i could definitely see the imperfects in the future. Not an amazing game, but not the worst when it comes to this era of games.

I think he was talking about the single player, sure the multiplayer is fun with friends but if you didn’t well the game was pretty boring with a story that made you kill your marvel character and they still didn’t explain why the imperfects attacked the hero’s since they were supposed to be an army to defeat another planet Fun game with friends but playing on your own is kinda bad, especially with the campaign were E V E R Y M A R V E L H E R O D I E S. I remember playing this at my cousin's house and hating how Captain America dies but yet Daredevil and other characters live. I mean seriouly where is Shield, the Inhumans, Deadpool, Doctor Doom, or Howard the Duck?!?!?!
I have so many memories of this game. I loved Venom’s missions, and was so sad when I accidentally chose to kill him off with that Hazmat guy, that I started the whole game over.
It's weird to think they were making versions of the characters look like the movie versions for no reason in this game, particularly with Spiderman here, afterall they pretty much do that with every character in every new thing nowadays and yes I hate it so much, but thankfully back then this business practice was a rare occurance
I loved this game as a kid. My cousin spent the whole day trying to beat the game because we didn’t have a memory card on the gamecube lol

-Spider - I actually had a nightmare about that once.
I literally had no idea this game existed before I watched this video.
Does anyone agree that it's funny that Xavier makes fun of Ben Reilly's new costume, yet he still decides to make it himself?
This game was fucking awesome I loved it and played the hell out of it as a kid
Daredevil was a fucking crippled in this game!

I have so many memories of this game. I loved Venom’s missions, and was so sad when I accidentally chose to kill him off with that Hazmat guy, that I started the whole game over.

It was a good game I liked it atleast.
Hey, I was wondering, what do you think would be a great Spider story (or stories) to adapt into a video game?
It's weird to think they were making versions of the characters look like the movie versions for no reason in this game, particularly with Spiderman here, afterall they pretty much do that with every character in every new thing nowadays and yes I hate it so much, but thankfully back then this business practice was a rare occurance
