Saw the margarine on the pic. Never eat margarine, it's one molecule off being plastic! I was just passing, no way am I going to sit and watch some guy go round a supermkt ffs
Something thats handy on the Honda PCX is the handlebar is exposed so you can loop the straps of your shopping bags thru and tie them off so your stuff rests on the deck in front of you when riding home .
$115 AUD for that little shop, just as much as in Australia. There must be cheaper option for groceries. That’s really expensive, it’s all normal food though that we all eat. Scary though the price.
Looks like those Western foods are just as expensive in Pattaya as they are in Canada, if not more so. Maybe there's something to all the vloggers who say that eating Thai street food is the cheaper option. That food court on the top floor of Terminal 21 certainly seems cheaper per meal. Excellent vid, David. Nice to see what regular everyday activities look like in paradise.
Yes I think some of the Western foods are more expensive than back in our own countries I like a mixture of local and home food Someone else mentioned terminal 21 so I'm going ti give it a try sometime
Next to the mayonnaise, I see the " Lobo brand " , they make spices for thai dishes . Most I have tried , are same taste as the restaurant. What is Amamda views regarding the Lobo brand . My favorite is the Satay mix
You are never more than 2 minutes walk from a 7-11 store, market stalls and local shops. Big C (and Lotus's) are like down market Asda, out of town and no cheaper. And canned soup? You can get freshly cooked soup from a stall for less than a £
I don't know I use the local market on threpasit Road for all of that stuff plus they have fresh meats and fish I've done a couple of videos on that market if you look back I only use the big supermarket's to top up on things that I can't find in the local smaller stores
@onlyme2030 don't think she'd be happy if I dumped her for dragging wm around the supermarket lol Truth is I wasn't the other end of the trolley most of the time

Yes I like to put things in the seat of back box
I like to concentrate on riding with the madness on the roads
But bag on the handlebars wouldn't hurt

Trouble is any imported foods are heavily taxed

Don't think she understood what I was asking
Now I'll have to play video to show her

I know the video wasn't that interesting but can't imagine what the video of me ordering things on line and having it delivered would go down lol
A lot of those prices are double or more what they are in the US. Thanks for showing the prices though.
No problem Thanks for watching

Hi yes I had a full health check at Bangkok Pattaya Hospital a couple of months ago for my health insurance
Blood sugar was good
Some of the food is more expensive than Australia supermarket
Yes any food that is imported is heavily taxed so will be more expensive
I can say the same from an European POV. Fruits and vegetables are cheap as hell at markets like Ratanakorn.....
WOW.Tins of processed food, junk food and drink. Nothing fresh, not even an apple. What is the price of fresh food and fruit?
I don't know
I use the local market on threpasit Road for all of that stuff plus they have fresh meats and fish

Yes I think there is a lot of import tax they have to pay
Having western taste does come with a steep price....
Yes they hit you in the import tax but if you have a mix of thai and western foods it's not too bad

@@cheapdavetravels needs to wear smaller boots.
She’s got to go, Dave. 😂 Can stand someone holding my trolley at the front!
@onlyme2030 don't think she'd be happy if I dumped her for dragging wm around the supermarket lol
Truth is I wasn't the other end of the trolley most of the time
The Var ref , needs glasses
It must be pension day
Don't get it for another year lol
I have well over seven years before my retirement and I will be living there as well.
@TheTurk56523 if you get the chance to retire early do it if you have enough savings
I wish I'd had the chance when I was younger
Thanks Dave.
That music, and Thai over the loudspeaker would drive me crazy.
I hate shopping at the best of times
Yes I only go once or twice a month lol
