At it's heart, BSG is a show about people and that's what I tried to focus on in this vid. The seriously flawed and fracked up characters of BSG.

I stumbled upon this video a couple of nights ago and I think I've rewatched it something like 50 times ever since. At first, I was so mesmerized I couldn't put my feelings into words but this piece of work deserves all of them and even more. I think this might be my all time favourite video. It has everything: the crescendo of the music - which you used oh so very well, the perfect balance between action and emotions, such a deep understanding of all these characters and their journey which shows in the faces/quotes you accurately picked and edited altogether like they were just meant to be there at that specific point of the music (and really, I cannot listen to the song anymore without hearing the voiceovers in my head and that is a sign a video has completely ruined me) and the general message of it all which was the perfect summa of what the show was and what it means to each one of us fans. I could point out countless parts that made me hold my breath, kept me on the edge of the chair and shiver, from the very first beginning with gaius opening his eyes in perfect sync with the music... but from 3:30 on I started crying shamelessly (the way you edited kara walking in resurrection ship pt. 2 and her words afterwards followed by the pain of roslin/adama and the struggle of sam/tigh/tory.. man, this part was one of the most brilliant things I've ever seen in my life) and 4:01 came, the shooting starts, people cry/scream/die (the transition between gina's gun to lee's is so spot on fshjfsjhdj also TIGH and sam and six and kara closing her eyes - god I hate everything) and I die. The coda... lol I don't even wanna talk about it. just know I will carry every single second of this video in my heart forever and I could never be thankful enough to you for your priceless work.

djcprod just speaking the truth ;) omg and i forgot to point out THOSE AIRLOCK PARALLELS and everything about admiral cain (i loved her arc tbh). and THANK YOU, I actually feel the same way as you. bsg had been on my to-watch-list for almost three years and now that I've watched it I can't believe I waited for so long. I only wish it was vidded more often, there's so (too) much to say and show about it :(

This...this is why BSG was-is-and always will be one of the best shows ever to be on television.
The story, writing, acting and effects were top notch and the very best.

That's a good video. Many of the trailers and montages on youtube seem to concentrate almost entirely on the space battles, which makes me think those people don't really 'get' BSG. This video is much better.

You've opened my eyes to another great show. I'm not gonna watch this video again, not until I've watched this entire series, because I wanna go into it as in the dark as possible. Character driven plots are my niche, you know that, I think they're yours too. So the impression I had that BSG was some shallow sci-fi couldn't be more wayward. It looks intriguing as hell, rich with stories around morality and whatnot.
As for your editing, it never ceases to amaze. Wow, dude. No, wow doesn't even cut it. This might be your finest, slickest tribute yet, brother. I swear your vids are the most rewatchable works of art.
Your comments make all the days spent working on a vid worth it dude. You hold the title for best you tube commenter.lol. You definitely need to check this show out dude. Much like Lost, it's built around the characters. The sci fi aspect is more of a setting than anything but brilliant in it's own right. Maybe the best visual effects Ive seen on tv. The writing is very Lost like indeed though. Really brilliant show.

I just finished the series and came straight here. This vid hit me ten times as hard now that I know the characters and stories, and the way you laid it out comes across as even more brilliant than before. Incredibly stylistic editing and true to the foundations of the show... survival, suffering, forgiveness, destiny. This vid encapsulates all of that so perfectly.
I have a feeling this is one of those shows I'll be vidding forever, right alongside Lost. And you'd better too, gods damnit!

Found this by accident. One thing to explain with my mindset as someone who does a lot of fictional writing is I project video's onto my own work. With this it matches an idea that's been brewing of taking something done (Star Trek - The Dominion War) and writing the perspective of the weight of the war and the slow demoralization of those involved on the -very- front lines which the TV series mostly skipped sadly. This to me is exactly that, and well, so was BSG as a whole. Ronald Moore got to do what he wanted with Trek here in BSG, for adults. Great vid for a lil' inspiration.
I watched so many bsg vids in the past and I had to come back to this one. It had just no comparison; I hope others aspire to be what this has shown.
Speechless. This show is so full of struggle & humanity and you captured that in a brilliant way. This was off the charts amazing.

This was so...Battlestar. You summed it up in under six minutes so well. I like how you didn't really include Cylon raider scenes...As cool as they were, that't not what the show was really about. It was about the characters.
Best sci-fi show. One of the best TV shows on television too. I wish we could get this show again with modern VFX.
