Hi everyone! In this week's video I go over the confusion and surprisingly non-specific OSHA First Aid Kit requirements to simplify the requirements and make it easier to be prepared in case of an emergency.
Total coincidence that i was up late last night and at it again this morning trying to read exactly what OSHA's first aid kit should have in it! You are the best Rachael and I cannot wait to start making my own safety videos like yours. Thank you very much for all of your knowledge and great safety videos! I watch them all the time, keep up the great work!
Great video! I feel like OSHA consulting are helpful and knowledge as a resource. Its important to know what and how to control the stored items. I found this helpful for me and our safety team.
Thank you Rachel. I often use your short videos to supplement the training provided by our HSE department. I think weekly reminders are useful. Due to tight finances, I started to inspect the kits myself rather than our having a service come in and do so. It appears they were stocked with many items that weren't necessary and were rarely, if ever, used by our employees.
Yes! It is super helpful to go through them and really get specific about what your organization needs. Sounds like the budget cut might've helped you to get a better array of supplies.

Do you have any specifics regarding blanket? Is it to put out fire or to keep employee warm? Any size requirements?

I agree. The OSHA consultants are great. The code though... It can be tricky.
