Dude, if Kecleon was a playable character, he would've clapped Dialga and saved the future with one arm tied behind his back.
It's possible to recruit Kecleon in Explorers, but you need *alot* to go right. Need to be holding a friendship band and be above level 90 for the highest chances I believe. Even then it's still like, less than a full percent. Its stats are bonkers even as a party member. Took me several loaded savestates to get mine and it was worth the effort.

I mean... even if u are level 100, kecleons can still few shot u lol also its kinda funny how kecleon are strong as legendaries in mystery dungeon. but in other main games they suck lol...

The balance of the Mystery Dungeon games is already... questionnable at best and inexistent at normal.
Need proof?
Exhibit A: All multi-hit moves are stronger than regular attacks on each hit
Exhibit B: Room-moves hit your whole party with what feels like Judgement, that or it gives a status condition and prevents you from doing anything
And also, your opponents always cheat
Exhibit C: You feel like you're always at negative Accuracy against positive Evasion and vice-versa
Exhibit D: Your boosts are temporary and your unboosts are permanent (opposite for enemies)
Exhibit E: PP only exists for the player's party (and Belly too)
Exhibit F: Player's Party versus infinite enemies on every floor (if not room)

I remembered that punishment for stealing the Dungeon Shop keeper market.
On an positive note at shops the kecleons refuse to sell the items if you don't have enough money. In the dungeons that is an different story because they are out for blood if you don't pay for the merchandise
As a player from gates to infinite, I can agree this is what happens.

I always have one escape orb for emergency escapes. Sometimes I'll spend one to take all of the stuff in a Kecleon shop.

This just happened to me! I was playing Red Rescue on emulator, and when I chose to not pay, he chased me down and insta-killed me. I even threw a petrifying orb at him and he freakin' caught it!

For one thing, Legends Arceus is the best ever Mystery Dungeon game.
You steal valuables from any old Pokémon, you get arrested by Magnezone. You so much as yoink a plain seed from a Kecleon, you'll be lucky if they find your body.

Never played it myself but my friend has told me a horror story how he accidentally stole from it and it totally just nuked his party. Stopped him from speeding through text after that.
Hopefully if you make more PMD skits you'll consider using some music from the series! Was kind of surprised you didn't use any.

So true this brings back memories of me getting my ass handed to me by a shopkeeper keckleon but I was able to two shot Mewtwo
I was expecting the whole crew of kekleons
I steal from them the first opportunity I get until eventually I'm maxed out in all 6 stats and by then they don't pose any threat at all. I'll never forget stealing for the very first time though and the shock I got when I lost absolutely everything in Red Rescue Team.

What i do is lumious orb, go to the stairs, then use the orb that draws items to you (mainly kecelon floor) scoop everything and dip the f out

if u guys want to get a Kecleon without pulling your hair... fun tip? get all pokemon including legendary pokemon. and leave it the last pokemon u need. do the wish cave dont recruit the wish pokemon. and use that wish to get the kecleon cause it gives u one random pokemon u dont have. and if u got them all but that pokemon and the wish pokemon. then u can get it lol. either that or u have to spend minutes to hours or weeks just to get it. if u decide to do it the hard way. level 100 pokemon highest rank with friend bow. pokemon that knows sub and u can one shot them. or use a ghost type and go thru a wall lol

Lol the problem is not even if you steal. Rather you take a item and can't lay it back because you just realised you hadn't the money. They suddenly accuse you of stealing and kill immediately
