I used to be obsessed with bream fishing. Got a boat now. So target other fish. I used to collect little crabs under rocks and fish them unweighted around yacht clubs/structure. My best was 49.9cm.

I'm heading to Perth this Christmas. Staying near the zoo, so being from the central Oz desert.....I'm bringing my rod and giving it a crack. I have never fished W.A. :-)
visited these locations with my nephews today, absolutely nothing at the jetty of stadium or under bridge sort walk away haha sad day for all. water was so contaminated, awful with pests loads of blowies and trumpeters

My brothers and I sometimes go hand lining at Matilda bay. I’ve only ever caught one bream and it was really small, only about 12cm, any tips on how to catch bigger bream? Also do you use a whole prawn for bait or just sections?
Hey buddy sorry for late reply busy 🐝 I always use a whole prawn. Head to the match clubs collect spider crabs from the rocks and use them. Big bream love them just have to be patient. Plus the crabs are better when the blowies are around😁🤙🎣🐟♥️🎥

Hi mate yeah he swallowed the hook right back to his gills. Didn't have any tools with me to cut the line closer. 👍
Taking the hook out wouldve 100% killed the fish. Its better to leave it in if they swallow it far especially if it clips the gills
